As far as I can tell an atheist cannot comprehend the fact that there could be anything or anyone greater than themselves. A spiritual person knows there is something greater than themselves and finds peace in their faith. I haven't noticed that religous people are so hateful, not the ones I know anyway.

It's a shame that so many people still fall for the oldest scam in history - and we call ourselves "intelligent"? Religion creates hate, wars. See history books for the past couple of millennia. Religion divides and that is exactly the goal of their creators. I don't follow any man made religion but that doesn't mean I don't have faith or that I will fall for anything that just anyone says. I don't have all the answers but I can assure you that I don't hate anyone. I may distance myself from people that tell me they have all the answers and that they know beyond a shadow of a doubt that they have all the proof they need, but it doesn't mean I hate them. I have my beliefs based on what I know to be true, I don't try to tell people they have to believe as I do, they have to find their own way. I am not controled by anyone, I live my own life, nor do I try to control anyone else..
