Re: Why you atheists are so hateful?
And for the record, I wasn't aware that atheists believed in Satan? We almost certainly do not. It may be an even more childish concept than his as a man, or Jesus actually existing, and not being a metaphor. If church didn't tell you that Satan influenced people, would you have accused an atheist of this otherwise. The answer is no. Don't you see? It's the church spreading even more hate, and ignorance through these control mechanisms of heaven and hell. Good and bad. Nobody is such especially not a Jewish man who rebelled as a political zealot.

Re: Why you atheists are so hateful?
Okay.. so... Three wars NOT started by religion.
Also three wars NOT started by atheism.. what's your fuckin point?
I promise you more people have died in the name of religion than have died in the name of atheism. That's a funny statement I never thought I would have to explain to anybody. It's time to face the facts! Religion is dying a terrible slow death, much like... Wait oh yeah.. every single religion before it. That's right. Oh yeah, I forgot.. yours is the 'True' religion.!!!! Here we go again. Do you also want to fight me because I say its not? No? That's probably because your just a cult member and not a cult leader.. shit.. I'm on fire.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 2672606

3.......such a little number when you think about it.

How about 100,000,000 dead (estimated).....for those three terrible wars......both soldiers and civilians.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 27748702

Check out how many people died in the inquisition alone.
Religion did that. Shall we continue?

Hmm. How many people have atheists hunted as a group?
Really 0? That's interesting. Go on with your point.
I'll be here all night.
Oh you atheists and your intelligence!
Using it against us, just proves we are correct!
God is great. *gag*
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 2672606

In God's eyes.....there are only two groups......

Group # 1,,,,,,,Children of God

Group # 2.......Children of Satan

Atheists.......are included in the same group as Moslems, most Catholics under the pope, and all the other belief systems out there.......including the rich elites whose God is their power/money.

The pope and his followers also killed people from Group #1.

Those religions inspired and authored by Satan......have naturally caused many innocent deaths......as Satan is both a liar and a murderer.

Re: Why you atheists are so hateful?
We are angry, probably because we live in a world full of grown children who believe in things they've never seen. Do you get angry about scientology? Yeah. That's how we feel. Would you get angry if most of the world believed in a monkey that lived in a bubble under Washington, and you part of a group that knew for a fact it is ridiculous? Okay that's why we are angry. You're teaching your children this crap, and pretty much crushing any chance we had for a generation of adults with common sense. Eh, you'll see when you finally die and you don't get your virgins or whatever you think.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 2672606

I don't get angry about what other people choose to believe and I don't try to tell people how they should raise their children. I personally don't care what the rest of the world believes. It doesn't change my life at all. I have to live with myself and I'm fine with the way I live. My kids have common sense and so do my grandkids.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28385384

It's not you, how you practice, how you believe, just not about you at all. For all I know, you're just afraid of judgment and hell, and probably an agnostic deep down.
It's about the religion you belong to, where it's from, what's it's done, to the world and to other human being, directly and indirectly.. as a whole. Telling your children about god, as seen by your religion only isn't teaching them to nurture any common sense whatsoever. Common sense doesn't come from someone telling you how things are. I would never teach my children ONE religion. Teach them all religions and let them decide when they are old enough to formulate an opinion based on knowledge of life and religions in general. People truly do not see the dangers in prohibiting children decide things for themselves.
Be honest with yourself, be honest with your children. And no, I'm not speaking to you directly, I'm speaking to religious people with children in general.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 2672606

My kids and grandkids choose to follow what I believe, not because I taught them it was the only way but they chose my beliefs because they know I am at peace with my life. They were always encouraged to research everything before they made up their minds. I am not afraid of anything, it's because of my faith that I do not have fear.

Re: Why you atheists are so hateful?
I'm an atheist and don't spread.
Stopping others from causing harm to strangers isn't spreading hate.

We're not the ones murdering gays and blowing up clinics.
We're not the ones beating our children and scaring them to tears.
We're not the ones trying to force belief as legislation.
We're not the ones funding war programs and trying to justify it by citing religious ties.

You have blood on your hands.
You can't pin your peoples wake of destruction on anyone but yourselves.

Keep trying to legislate beliefs.
Keep trying to use force and fear tactics.
Go ahead. We can walk away and leave you with flesh and blood clinging to one hand and a bible in the other... as you stand on top a pile of bodies claiming "god" commanded it.

We can just walk away and leave you in your destructive, sad, useless environment.

By the way, stay away from Computer and Medical Science if your "beliefs" dictate it to be a path to evil.
I would suggest staying away from anything that allows you to examine truth either... microscopes, fingerprint dust, telescopes, etc.... since examining truth didn't exist until the advent of Science.

Re: Why you atheists are so hateful?
Where your children even aware that other religions exist?
Where they aware that you would still love them if they were 'heretics'?
And by children, I mean when they were young enough to not have already been condition by what was around them.

My children are 10 and 19, I taught them both about all world religions and encouraged them to study them on their own. When my children came to me individually, and asked me what I believed, I would always answer "its not important what I believe, it's your path in life", that's not verbatim but you get the idea. Parents today rely on the public education system to teach them everything they will need to know. They do not however teach religion. Look at the studies in America, children who are raised in a household of faith are almost 10 times more likely to believe what their parents believe. This is because parents aren't encouraging their children to learn about other religions. Instead allowing them to pick up their parents, and of course, parents whom are Christian are more than okay with this. So when you say you had zero influence over what your children believe, you're either confused or just denying the sublte truths about what children pick up.

Re: Why you atheists are so hateful?
World war 1 AND the Korean war BOTH had religious influence.

Think communism is ok with religion? Think we went into war just for general what the hell sake?

If you remove religion from the picture, you don't rally the troops against or for communist aggression. You don't rally european colonialism and set off massive skirmishes that lead to war. Look at almost every war ever fought, and religion is either the cause or a source of morale buildup. Remove the religion and people stop acting on behalf of their version of the "greater good."
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 16969313

So bizarre

You need to brush up on your history a bit. For example, Communism was not even in existence at the outbreak of WWI. And during WWII,,,,,we allied ourselves with the Communists.....and one of the worst tyrants....Stalin. So your argument makes no sense.

The above wars were promoted by the rich elite class......who profit greatly from wars.

Great numbers of soldiers were drafted......against their will.

Re: Why you atheists are so hateful?
There are three types of people: 1) Atheists, 2) Religious, 3) Me.

Atheists are angry because the sense God abandoned them the way God abandoned Jesus on the cross. God forgives them for they know not what they do. Religious people are compelled to follow a path, regardless of where it leads or who the step on the way. God doesn't forgive them for they know what they do. Me, my knowledge of God is like that of the demons - we both know in our heart to its deepest core that God exists. Oh, if only you religious people could believe in God the way the demons do, you'd see so much more of Him. But, unlike the demons, I believe I love God. I haven't asked for God to forgive me because I care not that I live forever and ever. It is enough to be alive at this moment.

Re: Why you atheists are so hateful?
Here's the problem.

Never asked and And why should i care..

There alwasys seem to be someone out there that has lost their way, for what ever reason that might be i'm not sure!
but there is one thing i'm sure of and that is why is their someone always out there dividing everything.

Do i Care who you are (No)
Do i Know who you might be (NO)

Now i ask myself this? Will these kind of attacks from whoever you might be and who ever you represent end! not sure but you can be sure of one thin tomorrow ! i will still be here and i will still be the same person that i was yesterday,

Am i hate full (NO), Are you lost and still looking for someone to blame for what ever it is that is wrong (Maybe)

Did i ask you (NO).

This is because if you look deep down (It does not matter)

The problem still exists even if you yourself if by some chance hadn't indirectly influenced your children's religious beliefs, it is happening on a major scale in the united states specifically. I kind of feel like you see and understand the dangers of this. I don't see anybody looking into the history of any religion and feeling like it holds any weight in the modern world. I feel like people of faith, tend to disregard all evidence that points to what the believe being in direct contradiction to itself. There's too much evidence to suggest these are only stories and no proof of them being more than that. I am leaning towards life in the universe being true gods. There's just so much more evidence to support their existence than god created by men, to explain the things they couldn't at the time. As we learn more, I see less reason to put it all on a man made god. I feel like we should keep looking to space, because even if life elsewhere isn't responsible for our creation, I know for certain if they exist, they'll have a much better idea of who or what did. I honestly do not see god in space, as a human being. I can't. Not using common sense.

Re: Why you atheists are so hateful?
As far as I can tell an atheist cannot comprehend the fact that there could be anything or anyone greater than themselves. A spiritual person knows there is something greater than themselves and finds peace in their faith. I haven't noticed that religous people are so hateful, not the ones I know anyway.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28385384

Uh, right...there's nothing hateful about telling someone if they don't believe in a particular diety that they will suffer eternal torture? That if we don't worship, love, adore him we are condemning ourselves to a fate worse than death? That if we don't push the psychotic, self-centered god's agenda we are turned away from him and judged as evil?

To answer OP's question: you push, stuff, force-feed if necessary your religion on the rest of us and threaten us with eternal damnation if we don't relent. You smugly and proudly claim to have a secret passcode to get into heaven and even accept that your kind, loving mother who rejected your religion is burning in hell and suffering for her stuborness. You ACCEPT that. You are fucking sick. And nearly every thread here, on a conspiracy/supernatural/UFO forum, has to have your fucking agenda clog up what may be turning into a good, intellectual discussion. Your fear-mongering is repulsive and normal people can't put up with that for long.

You claim to have an open mind but you are acting as a foul mouth judge. Everyone has to conform to your beliefs or they are scum. I'll keep my faith and you can believe whatever you wish. I have never tried to force my beliefs onto anyone, you on the other hand seem to be trying to force your beliefs onto everyone. Seems your mind is more closed than mine, at least I am willing to live and let live while you just wish death on those that don't believe as you do. Some people just need to be miserable and I feel bad that you don't know peace and compassion. Only you can change that though. If there is no afterlife as you claim, I'm ok and your ok, if however I'm right, I'm ok, but you, not so much. I can live with my decisions. Hope you can live with yours.

Re: Why you atheists are so hateful?
It's just common knowledge that ideas and traditions die.
None of us still ascribe to the ancient religions that are backbone of modern religions, so what gives people any idea that the new religions are any better to have faith in? I see belief in god as an ever changing thing, from worshiping sun gods, to the sun of god, the new religions will die out as well. I just beg of some of you to ask yourselves what makes your religion any better than the ones that came before it, when in fact, these new relgions came from the ones that died, simple and plain. I myself would understand, and want to believe in the bible if it were written or the stories chosne by people that were alive to see them. But the truth is not one of these people knew Jesus, or knew anyone who ever did. How diluted these stories must be after all that time, or how much a story can change after time. The time it took these people to write it after his supposed death, that's the difference in a flat earth, and a round one. A huge, huge difference. I don't mind the faithful, and I think most of them are great people. I myself am a strange person, who is most likely not a good person to speak for all atheists, because I believe in some form of god, and I don't live an exactly peaceful or proper life. But then again, I don't that we are born with the idea of morals, those I fear are of a human origin, and therefore. A product of control, by other humans. I know nothing will change your mind if you've believe in Christ since you were young. I just ask that you look at the evidence against it, as well as reading the bible that's the only way to make an informed opinion. Doesn't your faith require you to be skeptic? I feel like a lot of us forget that we skeptic by nature. I think no less of anyone because of their religion. I just generally do not like or relate to people. Shit, I do not get along with most atheists. There's so much I want to say, and feel strongly about but this will won't be read, and I've read the bible and soaked of all these ideas in. It's only fair we take a look at the evidence against it. That's the only way to be sure what we still believe.

Re: Why you atheists are so hateful?
I don't think they are really atheist but Islam itself...You notice they never go after Islam right?

Islam? We never "go after" it?
That's because Islam has the most brutal, illogical history of any
Religion period. It's founded on the idea that one man, most likely suffering some form of sensory deprivation, emerged from a cave,
And claimed to have spoken to god, and then proceeded to murder all of those who denied his claim, or openly opposed it. Most of us with absolute certainty know without a shadow of a doubt that anyone with a shred of common sense can disregard the entire religion because of its origin alone. There's also its violent history, its very recent beginnings, and the extreemist brainwashed following that populate its belief system. So, yeah is there anything else you'd like to accuse us of? Perhaps we are all satanists again? To be controlled by Satan doesn't one need to have some sort of forethought or belief in him to be manipulated by him? That would require (for us) any evidence of the idea of Satan being anything other than part of the fear mechanism created by the church to keep their followers in church. I feel very sorry for those who are frightened by these boogeymen, so much as to change the way they live, inhibiting their daily lives. Using the ideas to scare children into staying with the church. Your entire belief system is one based of fear, and guilt. Could you imagine the peacefulness that arrives when you no longer have that imaginary police man in your head ? It's liberating. Does that mean we go about without any form of forethought, and moderation? No. We are just more content with who we are and what we do. There's no worry in our lives of an eternal fire, or some form of judgment. We don't look to some mythical force to keep us in line, we rely on the human mind to govern us. Those of faith have no faith in themselves without these control mechanisms. I would be worried of what would happen if those controls suddenly went away if you've believed in them forever. Those would be the ones to actually worry about. The ones who can't govern themselves without an external force, the ones who deeply rely on the bonds of a group to tell them right from wrong. Imagine the church doesn't exist for a minute.. could you tell the difference between what is right and wrong, using only the common sense you have? Or is all common sense in some state of atrophy when you become of the sheep? There are real dangers to being part of a cult. I feel like the faithful are the ones we should really be worried about.. these 'soldiers of Christ', who believe in some illusionary war being waged around the war. When you begin the witch hunts, or the inquisition again, take a step back and ask yourself who is the true evil of the world. The warping of minds is happening in those who haven't the slightest idea of it taking place.

Re: Why you atheists are so hateful?
Thing is if you really need a religion/bible/book or wathever to remind you of the true path ... then you are the most misguided of the bunch :)

I would bet on Karma everytime of the day before even considering religion ...
