When I was in high school in the 80's I saw the attitudes of what are today in their 40's.

Back then I said they are going to be a fun ride but ultimately end up single and lonely or lesbian.

FACT: In the USA, up to 40 years old the population of men and women is about equal. At 50 years old that ratio changes to 57% women to 43% men.

So why are the men dying? Lots of reasons but with the common understanding a man lives longer when married.. it is not difficult to see how less feminine women allow more men to not marry.

Feminism has failed. Love an empowered woman but it does not bode well when it comes to longevity and marriage.

Women had to overcome the issues but now it is gone too far when the population of men drops off so fast. Sure is one way to thin out the population and guarentee fatherless kids.

What that saying? The road to hell is paved with good intentions. Feminism was a good intention but now that hate for men is 'normal'.

I have a load bering limb made out of bone grafts that took 4.5 yrs of surgeries an physical therapy so I could walk again but only w/ a cuff crutch. This was an on the job injury so I was in the work comp. mill.
Waing rooms packed and when you got to go in it was a long line of gurney's w/ curtains between. The surgeon just rolled on a chair from one to the next - very assembly line.
At any time 80-90% of the men there - work injury
IF there was a woman there - car accident or sports injury.

I often wonder why we as humans like to see anyone demeaned.

Being a woman is difficult. You are supposed to be young and firm forever. Be the hot little lolita. Watch TV for an hour and count the commercials aimed at women, selling anti-aging treatments by the truck load, make-up, push-up bras, firming serum, toning cream, lingerie (the latter I don't mind so much because I enjoy being feminine). Not only that, but you are also supposed to be a wonder woman, being able to take care of the kids, work full-time, cook Thanksgiving dinner all while being a sexpot. It's maddening and impossible! A constant cycle of "you're not good enough."

I think women are more understanding than most men give them credit.

Again, experiment at what is aimed at men. They are treated as entitled fratboys, perpetuating the idea that if your wife doesn't look like a Victoria's Secret model you might as well drop her anyway because you were probably just in it for the pussy, anyway.

What needs to happen is respect and trust. I'm in my late 20s and one of my closest male friends (in his 30s) started a "relationship" with a barely-legal girl because she was cute and pouty...even calling him "Daddy." Again, the lolita archetype.

Something needs to change. There need not be a war. But the way things are going, there are going to be a lot of old, single, miserable, isolated people who will live out their years alone.

I love men.
But there are soooo many women-hating men. Especially here at glp.
I am an attractive, single 44 year old woman, currently dating.
There is no need really for me to be in a long term relationship.
I can get sex whenever I want. (I have 2 regular fwb on rotation....and I am on rotation with them as well.)
I work. I travel. I have lots of time to myself to do my art.
I am not lonely. I have good quality realtionships with close friends and family.
Marriage is good for men, but it is worse for women.
Unless a woman really has a strong urge to have kids, there is no reason to get married.
Women have had such a raw deal for centuries, that it is nice to have a bit of luck. I feel very blessed for where I live and the time that I live in as well. I am very aware that not all women can enjoy the same freedoms that I do. I am grateful. :)

I understand where you are coming from re: sex. I was celibate for a while. Now I am having fun and enjoying myself. But I know I will eventually get back to wanting to connect on a deep heart/soul level. For now, though, I am my sexual freedom, which I never really got a chance to before.

Marriage is not actually good for women. It shortens women's lives, while lengthening men's.

I don't agree with using anyone for sex. It should always be respectful and consensual. Using someone for sex is indicative of a heart that is shut down.
