What Is Desire??
What is this force that seemingly shapes everything?
"If you bring forth what is within you, what you have will save you. If you do not have that within you, what you do not have within you [will] kill you."

"Whoever has come to know the world has discovered a carcass, and whoever has discovered a carcass, of that person the world is not worthy."

"Those who know all, but are lacking in themselves, are utterly lacking."

Re: What Is Desire??
The basic root desire is to return to the ONENESS of what we intrinsically are! Desire directed outwards is the illusory search for happiness in objects, basically to find security for the illusory 'I' or ego which is mind created. It doesn't really exist, it is imagination, as are all objects. The basic desire is for desirelessness which means to be ourselves = pure BEING.

We are pure awareness! Nisargadatta says: "Be empty of all mental content, of all imagination and effort and the very absence of obstacles will cause reality to rush in."

Check out Nonduality for an insight to reality.

I'm not really sure, thats's why I'm asking. I'm trying to understand the forces of emotion, will, desire and a few others I can't think of at the moment. They seem to be the forces driving thought. A balance in these forces seem to cause chaos.
