Sorry, but he is right. If you wait until SHTF the shelves will be bare. Anything you do get will be taken from you in the parking lot. The store will probably close at once cause they cant't take you check or card etc. Meanwhile...they are looting your home.

Shop early! Rice & beans need cooking...so for the early days of a disaster get canned soup, chili, canned pasta, those "Completes" by Hormel. You won't have a nuker but you can heat them in hot water on the woodstove or whatever.

Cookies, candy, munchies, cause if you snack for stress...you are going to need that stuff!

You will be eating out of your freezer as it defrosts. Bread and Peanut Butter & Jelly. Crackers and cheeze whiz kind of stuff. Spam & velveta.

If the "three days" drag into weeks...rice, beans, etc.
