Our conscious mind is simply following the commands of our subconsciousness, and the former is simply fooling itself into thinking that it made the decision. |

In fact, if that were the case, you wouldn't know. NO ONE would know. 1 Timothy 3:16 KJV And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. Isaiah 9:6 KJV For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Mark 16:16 KJV He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. Acts 2:38 KJV Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Romans 8:6-9 KJV 6) For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7) Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8) So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. 9) But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. Matthew 15:8-9 KJV 8) This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. 9) But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. Acts 5:29 KJV Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men. "The biggest sign from God, to let us all know that man can never be God? Death." - Anonymous |

We all are thinking exactly along the lines we are conditioned to think. Programmed like a computer. Anybody who thinks they are actually choosing of their own free will the line of thinking that they have is completely deluded by their thinking." - Adyashanti "One thing that I always emphasize is that it is culture that has created us all for the sole purpose of maintaining its status quo and its continuity. So, in that sense, I do not see that there are any individuals at all. At the same time, the same culture has given us the hope that there is something that you can do to become an individual and that there is such a thing as free will. Actually there is no free will at all." - UG Krishnamurti "We are governed, our minds molded, our tastes formed, our ideas suggested, largely by men we have never heard of… In almost every act of our lives, whether in the sphere of politics or business, in our social conduct or our ethical thinking, we are dominated by the relatively small number of persons who understand the mental processes and social patterns of the masses. It is they who pull the wires that control the public mind." - Edward Bernays "Most people live in the delusion that they make decisions out of free will. In reality their actions are completely determined by their past. How you think, what you want and what you consider important are all determined by your upbringing, your culture, your religion – in short, by your concepts. As long as you still think you are your mind, you have no free will. Spiritually you are unconscious. You may think you know what you want, but you don't. It is only the conditioning of your mind that says: 'This is what you need to have'. That’s not a choice, it’s mechanical." - Eckhart Tolle "You do not choose, you do not decide, when you see things very clearly... Only the unintelligent mind exercises choice in life. A spiritually advanced or truly intelligent mind simply cannot have choice, because it can only choose the path of truth. Only the unintelligent mind has free will." - J Krishnamurti "All actions are determined except the ability to inquire into one's true nature." - Ramana Maharshi [link to www.barrylong.org] [link to www.naturalism.org] [link to www.scribd.com] |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 21734520 Our conscious mind is simply following the commands of our subconsciousness, and the former is simply fooling itself into thinking that it made the decision. the trick is to be able to understand/translate the subconscious information - even before it gets "public" (the motive of your own thinking, in other words, your intimate curiosity.. very few addressed it and followed their associations deep down where they got it trough experience) i am able to do that on most occasions (fast mental retrospection - how i percieve it - > how it got related in me (+why?) -> how i would react (observer check - filter for all match) perhaps it depends on you, what you have set as VALUEs and what you missed completely as supporting information (be it: unrecognized motion of shapes and colors in your mind... you never thought it WAS something.. it was, and is always ready to give you answers or be it other souls near by, giving you their parts..i named them "keys" to knowledge.. for the real fun begins when interacting) moral reasoning takes about 250 miliseconds we make errors in between perception->relation->behaviour |
