BREAKING: Morsi Stands His Ground - Clashes Erupt in Cairo near US Embassy - Emergency Message Issued for US Citizens

Well that's a poignant question because there was a big hoop-tee-doo the other day because, evidently, the president got wind that the judges were going to rule something or other unconstitutional (there has been such a political and legislative whirlwind, it's hard to remember) and if they did that, the president would no longer be president and the country would return to military control. So, if this is true (and keep in mind the media in Egypt these days is a wild ride in terms of rumor and innuendo), his declaration prevented a military coup. Is it true? WHO KNOWS.

One thing is for sure: Egyptians as a whole love and respect the military. That has not changed.

If Morsi was smart, he would suddenly lay out millions of dollars to import several world class soccer teams for exhibition games to distract people.

Interesting...didn't hear that particular rumor, so much of that around...plus media and western MSM, if you're not confused already, those will do it.

Interesting...was just watching the link above, and there was what appeared to be very large contingent of protesters simply mulling about with their signs; however, headlights appeared in the distance (and the green lazer thing flashing around). As soon as this happened, the crowd began to immediately run in all directions, and then the video simply cut to a different scene above what I'd guess to be the square (where all is still calm).

Something's definitely happening there, and they're doing their best to keep it out of the public view.
