Once in the middle of a normal 103 degree Texas day at around 3-4 pm, I went out get the mail from my black mailbox that had been roasting in the sun and when I stuck my hand inside it was almost cold. Freaked me out! I've never noticed that before and there were only a couple of letters, no packages.
the outside was hot as hades and the letters were cool.
