Quoting: ayr phorce yuan Whilst "patiently" waiting for an update from the OP, has anyone else had any strange happenings in their home?? :) Once in the middle of a normal 103 degree Texas day at around 3-4 pm, I went out get the mail from my black mailbox that had been roasting in the sun and when I stuck my hand inside it was almost cold. Freaked me out! I've never noticed that before and there were only a couple of letters, no packages. the outside was hot as hades and the letters were cool. I don't brag about my air conditioned mailbox. It's not air conditioned, but it is full of Phiddipus's. Don't have the heart to kill them. |

Summer to wintertime reset was four weeks ago :) wierd huh Yep .. weird is right! Your electricity didn't cut off during the day at all? nope, then the alarm clock starts flashing at 00:00 :p to change the time, you have to keep pressing the *time* button and press *hour* button 23 times or keep pressed 'til it makes the round...would be fun if the cat has done that, theoretically it's possible... The water in the kettle quite obviously was cold and this is a plastic well insulated kettle, and the sink is made of stainless steal a conductor of heat, it should therefore dissipate the heat away from the water and into the surrounding around under the sink where its very cold. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 26706103 This just does not make any sense, this has never happened before... UK people still use kettles? Do you have microwaves? Much faster ..... Much faster, much radioactive, kills whatever is good in the food. Bon Appetit! |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 26706103 My thoughts are there has been a time slip of some sort, maybe time had been stopped, I donno. That's why you need to do the bath test, to see if there is some kind of energy moving around the house or if it is isolated to one room. GLP alert level 2; "Go get a Hard Hat:. Anonymous Coward User ID: 20115308 United States 11/27/2012 03:00 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Ok, so this morning at about 6:00 AM I filled my kitchen sink with hot water to wash some stuff up, I left the water in the sink before going to bed (had been up all night). I had roughly 6 hours sleep and had been awake for 2 hours before going down to the kitchen to make my self a drink. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 26706103 Now the strange part, when I placed my hand into the water in the sink to remove the plug to empty it, I noticed that the water was still very warm Some things to note. The kitchen and the whole downstairs is not heated, I heat only my bedroom to save money, so the temperature downstairs is way below 15 degrees Celsius. The water had been sitting in a thin metal sink exposed to very cold air for around 8 hours, and the water was not very hot to start with, about 40 degrees celsius. No one else lives here, just myself and I had not been down stairs in that room for over 7 hours. I thought to myself, THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE! That water should have been stone cold like everything else in the kitchen... Intriguing! The ONLY "run of the mill" explanation I could give OP is that you ran a new lot of hot water and do not remember doing so. You may call "impossible" on my theory, but when a person does stuff that they have done year in year out, it becomes second nature and does not require any focus to complete the task, they are in fact, on auto-pilot. Can you honestly remember every moment within the two hours you were awake, or are there parts that are blank? If there are blank moments, this will most probably have been where you refilled the sink with hot water. Other than that, I am extremely interested to hear any other possibilities It's possible OP is a sleepwalker, my brother was and one time he woke up and found his blanket hanging on the towel rack in the bathroom. Doubt it, never sleep walked in my life and I often enter sleep paralysis, in fact all normal sleepers do... Put a surveillance camera on the sink and try it again, also put a camera on yourself while you sleep. |
ayr phorce yuan User ID: 24275470 United Kingdom 11/27/2012 03:01 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Do you have a cat? The cat could have peed in the sink. Cats are notorious for doing horrible things like that. Quoting: Hardwired Lol, I love it, but you are so right, our cat now insists on following either one of us to the loo and jumping into the bath to pee rather than use her litter tray lol. Hence we are forever scrubbing the bloody bath. GLP alert level 2; "Go get a Hard Hat:. GLP alert level 1; "Put the fucking Hat on:. |
