I don't know about anyone else, but we've had to buy several large ticket items this fall. They were old and just worn out. We really didn't want to buy a new washing machine, but there isn't a good repairman here anymore.
We don't go shopping on Black Friday, but we had to this year. Youngest son had to get a new backpack before he went back to school. The zipper broke on the way home. There weren't ANY crowds at our mall. The mall wasn't busy last year during December, either.
I wonder how many people are like us. Stuff is just worn out and can't be repaired anymore.

I DO know how to fix my own plumbing, do my own landscaping/gardening, raise animals, can food, etc., etc. Also, I DO know how to trap, skin, fish, and hunt. SO...anything else, baby?
