Yes, I feel the resentment of most taxpayers at being forced to provide for those that will not help themselves. Not all are in that category but far too many are.

Yep I'm going to tell them at work just like I did last week for Thanksgiving, when they come around for Christmas donations. That I donate more than my fair share to charity on the first and fifth teen of every month and I'm tapped out paying for the recipient class in this country. I must admit I enjoyed the look on the Diversity Council member’s face after I told her and am looking forward to relaying it come Christmas time. I’m hoping one call me selfish, that way I can tell them all the idiot’s that voted for Obama is responsible for starving future generations I’m just getting a head start on things to prepare them for what’s coming.

oh? the gov plans enormous tax increases to pay for obamacare so i guess no one could hold it against you if you reduce your charitable giving in an effort to replace the amount gov is taking from your income. we are not like the federal gov which just prints what it needs so something has to give. too bad, salvation army.

No OP you aren't the only one. Like you I am not gonna see that movie and I certainly am not going to watch the ceremony. There is only really one charity that I would give to and a couple of animal rescues. I am an upbeat person but all the things going on in the world and all the politics really have been a downer for me.

This just says it all for me.

I agree and Im in the same boat as you. I live in Alabama, since his presidency Ive worked less and less and there is a noticeable difference around here, at least north AL. Most of our overseas work has come to a halt, most of our domestic work has also come to a screeching halt.

Extra money is hard to come by, Christmas is not looking good. Im a worker. I work hard for my money. I go places most people wouldnt go to make money. All the 3rd world and arab countries arent fun to be in, but the only reason to go is because....well what else can I do, there are no other jobs.

All these entitlement programs are doing is giving me less reason to be generous during the holidays, much less any time.
