When it comes to charity I have closed the wallet. I think to myself let obama take care of them. I found myself doing this last night walking past the salvation army collection kettle. Screw them, let Obama take care of them.

Watching all the libtards in NJ on tv, I say let Obama take care of there homeless azzez.

I figure Obama is taking my money anyway to spend how he pleases (worthless green energy scams, food stamps and phones) fuck them all. Let obama take care of them.

Am I the only one that feels this way

There are great spiritual blessings that come with charitable giving that you will now miss out on.

This country has turned away from god. big government is the new god. Hell now they have Obama depicted on a cross in place of jesus. Its sad....
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1515187

The question is, have you, personally turned from God? Remember that God would have spared Sodom and Gamorrah if he had been able to find ten righteous people there. God will still bless you even if most of the people around you have rejected Him.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 6732797

No, I haven't turned from god. I still love him. I am just frustrated with some of his lazy, spoiled children that I have to live with her on earth.

I'm utterly defeated. I work 50+ hours a week and I'm getting killed in taxes. I don't even know why I try and save for retirement anymore, I'm sure they'll take all of that too. I should just quit working and start collecting welfare.

There was no "election"; there was a "selection" by TPTB decided long ago. "Voting" is irrelevant and only a distraction to keep the masses "politically" engaged in a phoney, rigged game.

I used to look at comments like you left above and think "oh he's some crazy tard". Well maybe your not crazy.

I know 911 was a false flag. Yes real people crashed planes into buildings but the building were demo'd. exspecially buidling 7. Now if you say anything your a truther.

we work everyday for peices of green paper that really have no value and we have to pay a majority of those little green peices of paper back to others just to have the privilege to live on this planet. what the fuck kind of scam are we in?

DO NOT give to major associations.....

Somebody there in the organization and is pulling a big paycheck.......

Only a small percentage gets to the people who need it....

You want to help someone - Give to them directly...a Jacket, A sandwich, $10.00, etc......

Like the Gov't cares....The GOV'T cares more about the PEOPLE overseas then in the US............

IMHO, what we're witnessing is the redistribution of wealth from the worker to the non-worker. Battle lines are being drawn between the givers and the takers. shark

The takers are winning! They will continue to win until the money (if there really is any) is gone.

From each according to his ability, to each according to his need (or needs). bananasex

The life Expectancy of a Democracy.
By: Alexander Tyler a professor of history at the University of Edinburgh, in Scotland,
In 1887 Alexander Tyler, a Scottish history professor at the University of Edinburgh
had this to say about the fall of the Athenian Republic some 2,000 years prior:

“A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent
form of government.

A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury.

From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse over loose fiscal policy, (which is) always followed by a dictatorship.”

“The average age of the world’s greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has been about 200 years.

During those 200 years, these nations always progressed through the following sequence:

1. From bondage to spiritual faith;
2. From spiritual faith to courage;
3. From courage to liberty;
4. From liberty to abundance;
5. From abundance to complacency;
6. From complacency to apathy;
7. From apathy to dependence;
8. From dependence back to bondage.”

Romney could have and would have created jobs .. People voted to stay on welfare and government hand outs .. The only way to beat this now is for the entire system to come crashing down .. Which it will ..

The funny part is, the very people Obammy was giving those hand outs to will be the first ones to turn on him like a rabid dog !

Obama is not the problem--you are.

Seems to me like a chicken and egg thing, OP. Liberals vote for the government to care for people because they don't see private charities receiving enough money to do the job.

Now here you are, a non-believer in govt. safety nets, saying you won't give to private charities.

What's a poor human to do when they have so much empathy, they can't stand to watch people suffer?

Taking your republican anger out on these organizations is just a reflection of the pettiness that's on the right. For christs sakes, your wing has just spent a month demonizing 'gifts' (a well thought out Republican myth first brought to us by Limbaugh and then spewedon verbatim by the rest of the party hours after that broadcast), now you want to start up on charity too?

Again, fuck off you deranged freaks. You lost. The left and I were telling you for months that you would lose if you continue to peddle these kinds of 'ideas'. We were right. Get over it. Some Christians you are.

I have changed too.

I never had any qualms about giving to charity, however it is my choice to give, I choose my own charities.

Since the election I find I am forced to donate to organizations I don't believe in.

Also, how can I be charitable? I have a family to take care of. I'm a single parent, working hard and expect next year with all the additional taxes, I just can't take a chance.

Don't get me wrong, I still would like to help others, so I'm collecting things I believe the poor and homeless will need from just what I have around the house, but it can't be financial help anymore.

(KJV)Matthew 24:12
And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

(KJV)2 Timothy 3:1-5
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. [2] For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, [3] Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, [4] Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; [5] Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

So, you just assume all the poor are liberals and therefore close your heart to help? That makes sense. *sarcasm* Well, don't be surprised, when the economic disaster hits and you look to have a helping hand. The children of the Lord may help, but don't be surprised when you seek help from those you denied to help. Everyone is judged according to their
works. Signs of the times. Love has been waxed cold.

James 2:1-6
1) My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons.

2) For if there come unto your assembly a man with a gold ring, in goodly apparel, and there come in also a poor man in vile raiment;

3) And ye have respect to him that weareth the gay clothing, and say unto him, Sit thou here in a good place; and say to the poor, Stand thou there, or sit here under my footstool:

4) Are ye not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts?

5) Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him?

6) But ye have despised the poor. Do not rich men oppress you, and draw you before the judgment seats?

Acts 17:24-25
24) God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;

25) Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;

1 Timothy 1:5
5) Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:

Acts 20:35
35) I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

Proverbs 19:17
17) He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the Lord;

and that which he hath given will he pay him again.

Deuteronomy 15:11
11) For the poor shall never cease out of the land: therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land.

Matthew 5:42
42) Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.

Luke 12:33-34
33) Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth.

34) For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Proverbs 14:31
31) He that oppresseth the poor reproacheth his Maker:

but he that honoureth him hath mercy on the poor.

Proverbs 22:9
9) He that hath a bountiful eye shall be blessed;

for he giveth of his bread to the poor.

Matthew 10:5-14
5) These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:

6) But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

7) And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.

8) Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.
9) Provide neither gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses,

10) Nor scrip for your journey, neither two coats, neither shoes, nor yet staves: for the workman is worthy of his meat.

11) And into whatsoever city or town ye shall enter, enquire who in it is worthy; and there abide till ye go thence.

12) And when ye come into an house, salute it.

13) And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you.

14) And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.

Mark 10:17-22
17) And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?

18) And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.

19) Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother.

20) And he answered and said unto him, Master, all these have I observed from my youth.

21) Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.

22) And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions.

Proverbs 28:27
27) He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack:

but he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse.

Mark 12:28-31
28) And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all?

29) And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:

30) And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.

31) And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.

1 Peter 5:1-4
1) The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed:

2) Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind;

3) Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being ensamples to the flock.

4) And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.

Luke 6:30-36
30) Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again.

31) And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.

32) For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them.

33) And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same.

34) And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again.

35) But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.

36) Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.

Ditto.

So you just assume all the poor are liberals and therefore close your heart to help? That makes sense. *sarcasm* Well, don't be surprised, when the economic disaster hits and you look to have a helping hand. The children of the Lord may help, but don't be surprised when you seek help from those you denied to help. Everyone is judged according to their
works.

you are missing the point entirely. i am working hard to provide for my family and myself. the harder i work the more the gov takes to give to people who do not work at all and pay nothing towards the support of this country, and then i am expected to feel generous and donate to some organization whose boss makes a million dollars a year to distribute my money to other people?

nah, i don't think so.

nobody voted for Obama...the election was "rigged"...by Russia, Japan, and China....they paid for his last weeks of his campaign..bribe money...for the pentagon to rig the election....

let's pray the electorial college nullifys the rigged vote and elects Ron Paul, the only natural born citizen who ran for the office of the president in this election.

Yes, I feel the resentment of most taxpayers at being forced to provide for those that will not help themselves. Not all are in that category but far too many are.

And for another thing, I no longer have any money to spare thanks to Obama economy.

And I don't qualify for any of the ever extended Obama endless unemployment. I hear so many saying they are not even going to look for work as long as they can get their weekly unemployment checks.

Your also the wrong color to go back to school for free. I know minorities that go to community college forever at no cost and work on get a degree in basketweaving. And the funny thing is they never finish. why. because it's free, who care.....

AND THEY CHEAT WHILE THEY'RE THERE! I know. I teach, I've seen it.

If you try to fail them, you are asked not to, since they are PAYING (or rather the college is collecting Obama $$$ for their tuition).
