I will take it a step further...I was thinking it might be nice to claim roughly 70% of my taxes paid as charitable contributions since they're mostly all going to entitlement programs "for the poor" now.

I never had any qualms about giving to charity, however it is my choice to give, I choose my own charities.

Since the election I find I am forced to donate to organizations I don't believe in.

Also, how can I be charitable? I have a family to take care of. I'm a single parent, working hard and expect next year with all the additional taxes, I just can't take a chance.

Don't get me wrong, I still would like to help others, so I'm collecting things I believe the poor and homeless will need from just what I have around the house, but it can't be financial help anymore.
