First of all I had a long term girlfriend when I joined up. I knew it was over the day i left for basic, its tough, but after a few weeks of being apart you will move on. Second, the first foreign port should cure you of any thoughts of her. lastly, you dont "choose" SEAL, you are selected if lucky. Dont be fooled by recruiters, pick a job that you can use on the outside world when you get out. |
