I myself am not a skeptic though. I believe in a sort of Pantheistic Universalist reality, where everything is real to some extent anyway. the brain is a bunch of goo that uses various chemicals to transmit electrical signals. chemical switches in an incredibly complex array. the balances of the various metallic salts deeply affect those switch functions. "brain scurvy" is a fairly decent way to look at it, but much more complex. imagine a cascade of relays. 1 minor fuck up in an early tripper in that cascade can have a seemingly disproportionate effect on the final switch positions of the cascade. a "sticky" or intermittently tripping relay can cause serious errata later in the cascade as well. she has some fairly major relays misbehaving. it could be caused by anything from her chemical imbalances, to a congenital defect, to a newly emerging tumor in her brain. an endocrinologist, a shrink, and a neurologist would be good places for her to look for answers. the electrolyte imbalance could be causative, or it could be symptomatic. i left my neuro-diagnostic psychic powers on a bus last week, and they haven't shown up in the lost and found as of yet. her best bet would be a thorough workup by folks who work in the field. after she has a clue as to "why", then she can decide if she wants traditional medical help, homeopathic help, "psychic surgery", or what have you. such an episode is a bad sign. it shouldn't be taken lightly. the first step should be getting the "nuts and bolts" examined, as many instances of similar symptomology are properly diagnosed that way.

Are you saying you think they accidentally did something while having sex that envoked a demon? Very doubtful. Envoking a demon is a step by step procedure, you have to do everything specific to a ritual to have any result. Probably easier to win the lotto then to accidentally conjure up a spirit.

This person was the type who felt secure in her (false) beliefs, and may have already had some things not going for her such as broken home, stripper / prostitution stuff, car accidents, and a life of be-trail.
