Mississippi county jails children for dress code violation
In Meridian, Miss., it is school officials – not police – who determine who should be arrested. Schools seeking to discipline students call the police, and police policy is to arrest all children referred to the agency, according to a Department of Justice lawsuit. The result is a perverse system that funnels children as young as ten who merely misbehave in class into juvenile detention centers without basic constitutional procedures.

This is dumb. The best way to get the message into kids is the cane. By referring this to "law" they are increasing the chances of creating scofflaws and criminals.

It's only the "land of the free" if you've been swallowing the propaganda. Those who can THINK for themselves have always known better.

Well...taking this course of action helps to raise money for the justice system, via fines to the parents, and the taxes required to pay for the custody of the juveniles, etc., and helps to keep certain jobs filled in the city, county, and state sytesms, as well as it primes the population for prisoners for the private prisons down the road, when these kids with 'records' become adults.

Why just spank a kid, when you can do all that?

It's a racket.

So many, many, many laws, and no justice = lawlessness.

While in collage I had one hell of a professor in sociology
dubua or something to the name any way he went down south to just get away and not any bad stuff just out relaxing. Southern Justice put him on a chain gang in the 70s for 6 months. For no reason. Not much has changed down in certain parts for now it is all about revenue and who you know.
If you visit make sure that your parking ticket is validated.
CRAP DUCK OIL GAS TRUCK SISTER RAISE...whos next. never mind just rambling... true about the professor though...

But that's the point--you can't "just spank a kid" or you risk a lawsuit.

Teachers are not allowed to discipline kids and some of these kids run amok and are totally disruptive. And their parents don't care or make their kids behave either so what are they supposed to do? Let them have their way?

No win situation.
One of the most important aspects of conspiracy theories is being able to discern when there isn't one.

Oh yeah, like you'd understand anyway.

True, but, I suspect that it's been created to be a "no win situation" so that Big Brother can be the only one able to step in and take control of the situation.

This sort of thing is not just happening in Mississippi, and that's what's telling.

Feds: Mississippi county runs 'school-to-prison pipeline'

(CNN) -- Officials in Lauderdale County, Mississippi, have operated "a school-to-prison pipeline" that violates the constitutional rights of juveniles by incarcerating them for alleged school disciplinary infractions, some as minor as defiance, the U.S. Department of Justice said Friday.

"Students most affected by this system are African-American children and children with disabilities," the Justice Department said.

yea once a long time ago i thought the usa was a country of liberty and freedom etc, but now... now to me it looks like a prison, ( and no im not colombian ) id never would like to return there, nicer places in the world to visit where freedom is still in effect. Its amazing how fast things changed in that country, its still pretty though.

so they take the right for you to disiplin your child , yet they can jail your child ...

dont you see what is happening here folks , they are making your child scraed of the state , rather than be scared of being disiplined off you , this takes all your authority away over the child and gives it to the state where the child can then be programned by the state , ...

well done satan your plans just get darker and darker by the day

I'd be homeschooling my kids if they were school-age now. The schools in the US are out of control. BTW, my kids all dropped out of high school in their sophomore year, took the GED, and went to the local community college. They then went on to university, and graduate degrees. If I'd homeschooled them, they probably could have gone to college at 12 or thirteen.
