Turn signals not working. Any car people here?
93 Toyota pickup truck.
Front turn signals not working.
Rear signals work.
Hazards only work on the rear
New flasher.
New bulbs.
The front signals come (stay) on, so the fuse is ok.

Its a conspiracy I tell ya.

Any ideas?

broken ground on the front side of things just follow all wires look for green corrosion and if it isnt that its the actual switch in the steering column needs replacing easy job if you have a steering wheel puller 5 dollar junkyard part

Not sure if this helps but some older model vehicles used a quarter size, metal looking round relay mounted in the fuse box or under the steering column. It makes the click, click sound inside the vehicle when the turn signals are activated...not sure what it exactly was called but you could check that as well.

harness short. bad sockets. wrong bulbs. betcha the sockets have a "salt bridge" or similar that allows the marker constant current to bleed to the flasher circuit.

Unfortunately you need an electrical diagnosis around $80 they'll look for a 'short' or bad ground I'm no mechanic but that is always the approach at my shop when it is multiple lights at one time not working

Mine did that the tail light bulb was blown replaced it but didn't have it in all the way wouldn't work til it was aligned perfectly and tight. Also, first bulb I bought was defective didn't work right out of the package had to buy a second one. Good Luck they make it so difficult have to have special screw driver to get into tail light to replace bulb they don't want you to fix your own stuff.

Thats the problem with turn signals.

When you turn them on they work, then they don't, then they work again, then they don't, they they do, then they don't...and so on.

Re: Turn signals not working. Any car people here?
We ran into issue sort of kind of like this but got much worse.
When we had a fog lights, PA sound and of course we were wired for camper fun and and hitch lights.

It was the plastic terminals that made all the connections that were the problem of blown fuses and bulbs and a lot of other things as well.

We replaced our plastic terminals with new ones.

We had a meted down on some wires we had to replace them with new terminal ends.

So both ends of the loom had to be fixed as well as running a few new wires.

We have a newer large Ford truck and we just did it our selves at a buddies service center.

Had to for a sticker.

Wiring system for Ford with Ford is high.

If you do not know which is earth put meter in ohms and go from body to each bulb terminal if it zeros you have good earth if it high on both terms you get the gist no earth then find the live string and make new earth point

If its not the bulb try the blinker relay switch. It is a small black box located either with the fuses of under the drivers dash by the brake pedals. If that doesnt fix it then it is a wire.

Re: Turn signals not working. Any car people here?
Ours became flaky. I replaced the switch and the flasher relay. Probably only needed to do the relay, but didn't want to risk a delay, so ordered both parts.

Lots of youtube videos showing how to do it for various cars.

Of course it could be another wiring issue as well.
