I don't know about others but we were taught by example...shown how to connect levers and wires together in order to make a multiple light bulbs go on and off with one lever movement up or down. They don't teach this in school anymore. Science is gone. They teach the basics of life-earth science as they WANT you to know it. They teach space as they WANT you to know it. They don't do experiments like the ones I grew up with. None of my kids ever had to do a science fair project. The poorest of our nation will never know science because their parents are working so hard for a living they don't even pay attention. We do our own projects here...with safety goggles of course.
