a letter of support from the slovenian soldiers

Brave fellow citizens,  the vast majority of Slovenian soldiers is feeling sick because of the latest events in the country. Just like you, we do not understand the stupidity of political and economic elites and their apparent lack of understanding of messages people. Frustrated, we monitor the abuse of the military in domestic political purposes, which is completely inappropriate, as demonstrated the current government, by invitation of military Chief to the crisis meeting. The crisis in the context of this meeting certainly is not for us, the people, but for the ruling elite.  The doctrine also says that "you take the fight to the enemy."

With the brave uprising of the Slovenian people this is beggining to materialize too. Daily struggle for survival that we fight in our own homes, you have brought down to the doors of the elite. The latter are only now beginning to feel the crisis, and in desperate attempts trying to save their positions.  However, you should not worry about their moves. Stay solid with your demands and do not separate the left and right. All major victories happen because of the unity, courage and perseverance. After twenty years of attrition now it is time for another victory. We, Slovenian soldiers, have always been and will be on the side of our country. And homeland is us, the people of our beautiful country on the sunny side of the Alps. We fully support you in all your demands, as they are also ours. If time will come that they will want to continue to abuse us and send to the local streets, you can have complete peace of mind, knowing where and with whom we stand - WITH YOU!

Mayor was the last straw. He made millions probably for himself (not to mentions he is suspected of similar things allready) with installing 1 traffic radar per 3000 residents. And since Maribor is worker city whitout work and money this was it. People started demolishing radars day after day, support from people was growing and all of a sudden booom, right now whole country is planning next demonstration and politics is starting to panic. Plans for demonstrations in all big cities in the nex day...whole country is on fire by FB

It is unbalivable. 5 Days ago nobody thought this could ever happen and now everybody is in a strange attack mode...this will be interesting...i am in a bug out mode allready

I met some Slovenians once, a nice bunch of people, they were on target to grow strongly and it was becoming prosperous, shame things have to turn out like this.

my countrymen are fairly self sufficient and not as temperament as the rest of the Balkan or the neighbouring Italy. Meaning that they don't protest much, but when they do, it is absolutely no joke...

Nothing in our news, they only talk about spain and greece... Keep it going until they can't hide any longer.

This is good to see the people standing up for their rights. I ask myself daily, when will the people of the world face their oppressors. We belong here on earth, and we were born to be free. How can just a few dominate over seven billion people without a peep from the oppressed? It is time to take our rightful seat in the world.

we had several civil wars around here...
our history was pretty much violent most of the time.
that is why we also have good tradition of peaceful protests, because nobody wants civil war right now, we want changes.
