Internet being attacked?

I get 30Mbps at the max now im reaching to 10

o.O

Not sure haven't checked speed, but I have had to restart my router a few times today. Suddenly it just doesn't connect. Not had this before with it, might need a new one.

Ohio experiencing the same thing EXTREMELY slow speeds.

Canada here, internet was down most of the day, router probs for the past week also

How the hell did I ever survive in the old days with dial up speeds? This sucks. I am going to restart my router, and then if it is still bad I will call my internet provider to see if others are complaining.

Could doom be at our door step?

I am in Wisconsin. This is starting to sound a bit fishy.

Well... today went to a bank drive though, friend wanted to cash a little check, This was about 10 AM...teller came to the window and said the computers were down an they couldn't cash the check right then.. My friend told the teller if she didn't cash that check she didn't have any money..anyhow..after a few minutes she came back to the window told her she would have to hand write the transaction, thats what she did.. ok so we go to a very different location in different county even.

And they were having the same problem, also claimed the computers were down, and they couldn't run any charge/debt cards, and they were also hand writing the transactions ...weird, didn't really think much about it until i saw this...both places blamed the internet/computer systems being down.

North Carolina here...yes, I am having problems.

Hmm. Well it sounds like 'Houston, we have a problem'.

Anyway, I just got off the phone with tech support. I use Mediacom and they have had blazing speeds until recently. She reset my modem on her end and I ran another test and got a download speed of less than 1 Mbps.

She said she was going to send someone over in a couple of days to check things on my end. Normally it takes an act of God to get someone to come over. She said she has been receiving complaints of slow speeds for a couple of days now and they need to get field data to confirm if this is or is not a problem on their end.

In other words, they are also suspicious of what is going on. I have never heard them react this way before.

many are. The thugs HAD a private internet for banking and government, that was shut down, now they have to use ours.

plus all the shop until you drop week.

I have started the issue above, it actually started late summer early fall. I don't rule out attacks though,

I've had lots of connectivity and speed problems over here too - quite far away from you guys. There has been slightly more solar activity for few days now, but nothing that would explain what we seem to be witnessing here. Interesting.

May not have to do with this, but yesterday I called
Canon to inquire about availability of a printer cartridge.
It was "cyber Monday' and the rep told me their entire site
had been down all day. This was around 6 PM Eastern, and
their sales were at almost zero for the day due to this
carsh. Their techs hadn't been able to figure out the
source or cause. I joked that it was a DDOS from a competitor.
Who knows, pretty weird that a huge tech company was
unable to fix their site.
Also have noticed pages in general take longer to load,
including here.

Dang it, this is NOT the thread I needed to read after coming back from seeing Red Dawn.

Slow here also, (georgia) but mainly yesterday. I chalked it up to cyber Monday. But ever since the glp fiasco, I've had some connection issues. (Paranoia?) ;) Better today though.

My ping is faster than normal but MBPS is close to half normal (SC)

It was taken away because it was misused. Thanks for the confirmatory statement of its existance.
