I just gave a truckload of clothes, items from my lost business (thanks to inflation), many kitchen and home items to the salvation army.

I know that they pick through them themselves for the best stuff, and sell some of the stuff in their personal garage sales later. I know that the clothes that are not up to stuff, get put on pallets and are sold by the pound for cash. I know that people probably don't need to have as much 'stuff' as they feel they need. Our lives are full of 'stuff', crap from China, crap that will go BACK to the salvation army eventually.

Everything will burn, be dust someday.

So what can I do about it?

My church's angel Christmas tree provides presents for children who's parent is in jail.

I have made some things, and will buy some things for her.

We have boxes to take home to fill with canned and boxed goods to feed a family for the Christmas holiday, our church provides the turkey.

There are about 10 more holiday type things to participate in to give and feed the poor among us, including serving dinners at the church, providing jeans shoes and glasses for the third world mission services, baking cookies for our military, going into people homes and fixing the electrical, carpeting, roofing, building ramps, fixing plumbing etc etc etc.

Do these people deserve it? Whether they are foreigners, illegals, poor white trash, poor black trash, people who live off our tax dollars and don't work etc etc etc, the question is not whether they deserve it

the question is, are you willing to step forward as Christ and give to the most needy, the pathetic, the poor, the hopeless. That is who Jesus reached out too during his three years of preaching. Not to the most religious (pharisees, sadueicess), he reached out to the sick, maimed, diseased, starving, widows, orphans, cripples, and I'm sure some of them were 'illegal'.

All you can do is pray that Jesus would change your heart and have mercy on those who have not. If you can give, even just a little, you should give, without reservation, even if it hurts your pride and justification.

Maybe they don't deserve it.

But you should bless them as Jesus would, feed them as Jesus would, and be blessed by doing so.

What pisses me off is that the idiot OP assumes any person with a Spanish surname is an illegal Mexican.

First of all, how does she know they're Mexican and not Guatemalan, Salvadorean, Nicaraguan, Panamanian, etc? Unless the bitch is fluent in Spanish and is familiar with the different dialects, how does she know their nationality?

2nd of all, some of us down here in Texas have longer ties to this land than any "American" (in OP's logic, this means white people only). My own family has been here since the King of Spain granted them the deed for their lands in exchange for service...like 300 years ago - that was WAY before Texas belonged to the US and WAY before any white person even laid foot on it. Texas has always been a healthy mix of Hispanics and Whites and for us to be confused with the "illegal type" is frustrating and annoying, not to mention insulting.

Paying taxes, buying liability insurance, obeying pesky laws, it's these types of things that make the citizens feel they are being discriminated against and ILLEGALS who can and often do avoid doing any of the above are being put above and being put first in line when it comes to help which wouldn't even be there had it not been for the citizens parents, grandparents, etc trying to put safety nets in force to ensure THEIR SURVIVAL, any extra should go to help "others" but instead they get preferable treatment.

I have been sick with this respiratory garbage for a week. Puking my guts out one end and diarrhea, the other. fever, dizzy and coughing my head off.

First trip out, I was meeting at a restaurant near the collge for dinner. Only non fast food was guess what? Mexican.

It was good. The beans and rice did not aggravate my stomach. But the TVs were all in Spanish and the language in the back ground. If music is playing it is garrish Mexican. And I thought to myself. it is their house and I can respect that. I am the guest.

I drive home. I need to get catfood. But felt no wish to go to a Walmart where pygmy people speaking Mexican, had 15 children racing up and down the aisles. So. I opted for Kroger.

Only one cart of screaming kids and they were white. Full of the holiday spirit I guess. I began to feel I should not be such a grump. And then I spotted IT !!!!!!

The Angel Tree!!!

You know. that little tree that blocks all main aisles to get to the check out. The one that makes you feel like a cad if you don't take a kid. There with the poor sob story of a gift for Christmas. Only this was for a "Christmas dinner."

So. I stop and look. And I look. And I look the third time. And the madder I got each time I searched around the tree.
I finally found a Smith. And maybe one or two other names, that could have been a legal American Citizen.

The whole tree looked like it had come out of Little Mexico.

No. it was Gomez and Navararro, and Garcia and Lopez and if it sounded Mexican, it was there. No doubt all illegal entrants to my country, now begging for Christmas presents.

They illegally enter my country. Demand welfare, housing, education, medical treatment, jobs, the VOTE and Citizenship because they " are" regardless if they are ciizenship material. And utlimately my country.

And NOW they want CHRISTMAS dinner.

I lost it.

And I went up to the managers area and let her rip.

They looked kind of dazed and gave me it is the Salvation Army that puts them up..etc.. etc.. scooting out of range. "Hey I will look in the drawer. There are other names. I will see if there is another." Never came up with one that sounded American.

I said " That is not the point. There is helping our Citizens in need in the economic crisis we find ourselves in and we do not need to be buying Christmas dinners for illegals."

And told her to pass it back the Salvation Army.
I will give nothing to the Salvation Army this year.Now I am reconsidering donating to the 2nd harvest food banks. Which I usually do. There are Americans in need. and they come first in my book. It is obvious that the food is not making it to the Americans in need, but illegals in greed.
