Winning Powerball numbers: (3)(17)(18)(33)(38) PB (5)...

Are those a little or a lot compared with other timeframes? Thinking at a really general level, it seems like they should be closer to 4 each. Almost 2 years and only a couple hundred draws is a relatively small sample set for a big set of numbers to be chosen from. Gotta say the 6666 business is a little weird!

25 times is crazy...thats like once a month! Maybe those balls have different density patterns but weigh normal in the ball set they were using. Thats funny that you chose that date range because right before 2011, they switched ball sets and only just replaced them 21days ago. Were any of your high drawn numbers drawn after 11/07/12?

This is an awesome idea. Maybe make it a little later for west coasters and closer to the drawing time so we dont affect any pre draw test runs they do. How about 10pm EST? I would say right before the drawing but east coasters might not stay up to watch it.

It figures I'm in a state that doesn't have Powerball. I'd have to drive about 4 hours to buy tickets. Oh well.

..if hundreds or thousands play these numbers. Lets call this a Mass Consciousness experiment. It has happened in the past where many people played the same numbers and won. Once from a fortune cookie and also on the first anniversary of 9/11 in NY (with the numbers 9-1-1). It is real and yes it will be a much smaller take home jackpot for everyone but you will still win something and moreso, you will be a part of history in proving the currently unknown. It will cost you 2 dollars (possibly 4 if you want to buy another ticket with a different powerball to be guaranteed 1 million). Let's do it and be a part of history!!!

btw..the fortune cookie winners would have only won a little more if the fortune cookie had 6 numbers that hit and all winners had to share a jackpot - it only had 5 on the fortune, which everyone got and therefore got the guaranteed payout of 100k. In mass number play, it might be safer to only play the first 5 and pick a random powerball. In today's game, that's a cool million. If anything else, it would be worth a second ticket with just the first five.

Me too...so a half billion divided by two is a quarter billion each. I can live on that for at least 5 years with the lifestyle I envision. I am seriously buying a ticket with the first five numbers so I can at least get a million if hundreds have to share the jackpot.
