Very good point. Explains quite a bit and it is truthfull.

But integrity is more about your own standars than anyone elses. You do what YOU feel is integrity to you.

Not because others are watching.

I've been a truth teller for many years. It has caused problems for me, mostly at work. I've gotten bad reviews because I make people feel uncomfortable. My response has always been to point out that I speak my mind and I speak the truth. Sorry if people don't like it. My current employer seems to value people speaking the truth. I like it here.

I quit my well paying job because they were liars, then asked me to lie to customers.


I tell what I feel to others and am treated very negatively for it. I tell the truth, yet some hate it so much that they are very mean.

I've been at the doctor's all morning getting a complete physical done. Now, I am at work trying to catch up.

Lack of integrity is a main reason society is degrading in my opinion. I like to look at the definition a few times a week and keep it in mind. When faced with a tough decision....i always refer to integrity!

but i find it interesting that i was just outside thinking about what you were saying on this in the other thread yesterday...personally, i took the vow of honesty since i can remember, i have told a couple white lies in my life (seriously, NOT many, i am honest to a fault) and they stick with me for a very long time...even tho they hurt no one, just protect me from certain judgements and bullshit...

but taKING THE HIGH ROAD, yes, we discussed this yesterday...first, honesty with self, otherwise there is no honesty at all.

i've learned that being honest doesn't have to 'hurt,' it's not what you say it's how you say it....

anyway i have some shit to deal with check back later.

Integrity won't make you rich and most of the world is full of greedy, lazy, sacks of shit.

WHat I do for a living is not something I enjoy. I work for a finance company. I do collections, data entry, customer relations, etc, etc.

My job is something that does not define me, lol. My job represents nearly everything I despise. But, it has insurance and can put food on the table.

honesty, integrity and loyalty have gone the way of the dinosaur.

I've stopped associating with the person I considered my best friend because he was such a liar. We have known each other for 40 years but it had got to the point I couldn't believe a word he said.

I hate a liar (and a thief) and always try to tell the truth. When someone lies to me it tells me not only do they not respect me, that think I'm too stupid to know the difference.
