OK, this is getting ridiculous. Is Obama's 'proposal' to start shipping them in on Greyhounds, 747's, and Aircraft carriers 24/7 or something? WTH is going on!!

Mexico's President-Elect Praises Obama on Immigration: 'We Fully Support Your Proposal'

The president-elect of Mexico, Enrique Peña Nieto, praised President Barack Obama's immigration plan in a meeting today at the White House.

“We fully support your proposal,” said Peña Nieto in reference to Obama's immigration plan, according to the pool report. “We want to contribute. We want to be part of this.”

Obama indicated his willingness to visit Mexico after the president-elect invited the American president to the 2013 North American Leaders Summit.

“Any excuses to go to Mexico,” said Obama. “I’m always game.”

OP perhaps you arent aware of the fact that more latinos are returning home each year because of the economic situation in the US, you shoukd read more...

President Enrique was intent on expanding the Mexico US relationship beyond the war that is currently being waged and immigration has always been a primary issue owlver the years. Read more...

I think that Presidents Enrique and Obama are set to solidify and grow existing ties and I feel this is important for the stability of latin america, as the economic map is changing in this region and Mexico has yet to shine nd play the lead role in the not too distant future and it is crucial that both parties see eye to eye moving FORWARD ;)

Strengthening security relationships is also important for US international policy, as it can work to minimize any possible terrorists threats which could be interfepted and prevented from crossing into the US, just like when the libyan son tried to sneak into Mexico and his connections were intercelted by Mexico under President Calderon...

Tony Blair in México making conferences

Commenting on the new partnership, Tony Blair, Founder and Patron of the Tony Blair Faith Foundation, said:

“I would like to welcome Tecnológico de Monterrey into my Foundation’s Faith and Globalisation Initiative. They are the first university from Latin America to join the network and we are very excited about the unique contributions and fresh perspectives they will bring to the course. They are already at the forefront of using technology to bring education to people wherever they are. There is huge potential for Tecnológico de Monterrey to ensure that right across the continent, we are involving thousands of people in discussing these crucial issues. I am eager to see the Globalisation and Belief Systems” undergraduate course develop.”

I'm well aware of the tanking U.S. economy. That's why I asked WHY on earth he is trying to immigrate people here period? These days I'm sure Mexico is far better off than the U.S. anyway.
 Quoting: mrclean

People are conflating two or more issues: economic, security and immigration. On the immigration issue, as said, the outflow has surpassed the inflow. Obama has also deported more 'illegals' the last 4 years (mostly from prisons) than the last 4 presidents combined. The oncoming deal, I believe, is about the unsolvable long term resident 'illegals', who have roots, US spouses and kids,,,

If Mexico is supporting it, it means the Obama admin is going to try to resolve it as humanly as possible, ie amnesty for the above defined cohort.

Frankly, it's either that or never resolving it...
