Cold weather is depressing

Take lots of vitamin D - that's why you're not happy when the weather is cold - lack of sun, low Vitamin D levels

Try taking some 5-HTP. Can be found at your local pharmacy or the cheaper option would be a supermarket pharmacy.

Yep, that's what my boyfriend tells me, too. I hate taking pills but I took a bunch of his Vitamin D's when I was sick, lol. He had me chewing Vitamin C's, too.

Go outside, run around, be free. Embrace the cold. ;)

play in the snow when it arrives. until then just kinda dress in layers, do the fireplace thing, rake leaves, and get one of those faux sheepskin seatcovers for the car, lol

As much as I hate to interject anything more about psychological acronyms to explain human behavior, there is a name for it: SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder)

I was diagnosed a few years ago. I take Vitamin D, which I would suggest.

Even better, go on a 10 minute walk if it's not too cold. That will get your serotonin a boost also enhancing your mood.

On some days, though, you just have to give in and stay inside, under the covers. :)

wear socks, and keep humidity high when you sleep. try not to sweat under your clothes. throat lozenges are good for keeping the throat moist, since now is the time when you will be getting dried out, especially where the wind passes, in the throat and nasal/sinus passages.

Once you get dired out, you become exposed to sickness.. ;)

I used to walk on the beach almost every single day. I even knew that I was lucky when I was doing it, most of the time. Now, that's not even an option. But, here's the thing............ for me, the grass is always greener. See? It's just sorta mental. It's HOW you look at what you're living. I am happy that I left that drudge to come to the country. It's colder here now. But, guess what? It's completely different here. I'm happy I left the palm trees. People are different here.

No C. cold weather is not depressing it reminds me of the holidays. This is the time of year when people are nicer to each other. its nice to go from the cold into your warm home and look at your holiday decorations. I love this time of year. Its just comforting, reminds me of home.

I don't know who tf you are, but Boynton Inlet would be nice right about now, lol.

I can handle it till after christmas then get me to somewhere warm ASAP.

I'm in Alaska, we have around 5 hours of dim light now, and it's like a frozen wasteland. Today's high was 3. We still have a long way to go and it's already driving me nuts.

South Florida is way over rated. It's warm down there. The weather is nice, but the people suck. Really.
There's empty houses all over the place and no one speaks English.

Everyone down there is trying to outdo their neighbor and have more more more.

People here are more real. Farmers and Harley guys. Try to figure it out. They would do anything in the world for you. I've seen it.
