To know for certain, one simply should look at the original word greek word, used in the scripture, aionios. Then look at a non-biased site, for the Greek definition. Here's the definitions I came across: aionios - ageless, eternal, timeless, unending [ link to kypros.org] It doesn't state or indicate an 'indeterminate' length. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28525317 It also says the noun "aion" means "lifetime/generation/eternity", so I guess it's multiple choice. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 8788578 Well, let's for example look at 'eternal punishment'. The original Greek word, is not 'aion'. It's 'aionios'.
