Eggcellent Re-Instate Smith-Mundt! User ID: 13043121 United States 11/28/2012 12:43 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I know most Californians are not playing, but anyone here against playing? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 20574169 I'm not "against" playing, people can do what they like! But i gave up playing the Lottery years ago when I realized that the games were being manipulated so that they paid off less and less frequently (I usually played "scratch-offs" with a few "Powerball" tickets here and there). Nowadays I couldn't play if I wanted to because of finances, so I'm glad I weaned myself previously. That being said, I HOPE that some worthy GLPer wins it, and pays for a free year for everyone here! I'd love to hear that in one of those interviews where the people always seem to say "I'm gonna buy me a house, and my Mom a house, and get a new car, and take my family on vacation." Wouldn't it be GREAT to hear "I'm going to sponsor everyone at GLP for a year's membership!!"?? "I have come to the conclusion that all news should be treated like 9/11, assume it is a psyop with actors participating in a staged event complete with props, until proven otherwise, in which case assume whatever is being recorded, reported, televised, is distortions/lying by omission/outright lies, until proven otherwise." - Anonymous, 4-13-12 |

Those of us who do the math -- who understand that lotteries are nothing but a Tax on Stupidity! -- we are the ones with solid assets and zero debts... ... because we do not spend impulsively, we save, we invest, we manage our money. That said, I do not give a damn if other people play the lottery. It gives them amusement. Me? I can buy a pound of beans with that two dollars. Do that a few times, make a habit of it, make a lifestyle of it... and you can become quite, quite financially secure. The only "budget" I am on is to ask myself if any given expenditure is wise or prudent. Last Edited by goodmockingbird on 11/28/2012 08:54 AM I Support Our First Responders |
