It was instant when it happened.
We were so different and yet the same.
I was alive then, not so much anymore.
That was 29 years ago and she's still the last thing on my mind before I sleep and the first thought in my mind when I awake.
Few know the pain of which I speak yet I would not change a thing as those moments we had are all I have ever had.
