Ahmadinejad's Personal Cameraman Defects to US


It's been confirmed that Hassan Golkhanban, Iranian President Ahmadinejad's personal photographer has defected to the U.S., after sending his family out of the country to Turkey to ensure their safety.

Golkhanban and his family are now in an undisclosed location.

Golkhanban's U.S. attorney Paul O’Dwyer told CNN that Golkhanban is seeking asylum because “He’s perceived as not being a supporter, or being an opponent of the Iranian regime… somebody who has betrayed the regime and who can no longer be trusted by them.”

According to O'Dwyer, Golkhanban's application for asylum has been filed with the State Department.

It's worth noting that Golkhanban is no ordinary photographer. As Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's personal photographer, he followed the president everywhere, quite likely including a number of Iran's secret nuclear facilities.

There are a number of unconfirmed reports that Golkhanban brought with him a treasure trove of up-to-date photographs and videos of top Iranian leaders showing up-to-date details of those facilities.

To create the EMP effect talked about earlier, you must detonate a nuclear device at an altitude of 20 - 40 KM not 1 mile. I wish people did more homework before trying to quote facts.

With their "radical Islam" and hate and avowed destruction of everything in the western world - these bastards MUST be stopped - one way or another. Diplomatic talks end up with us just being lied to again and again. Their ability to make these bombs needs to be destroyed for at least a decade if not for longer. And it needs to be done NOW! A delay of a few weeks could cost us a major European City or Tel Aviv or heaven alone knows what?

The GUN type weapon that smashes two just slightly subcritical pieces of HEU together together are very limted but easy to make. a 50KT devices does require a more advanced trigger. Iran however has had plenty of time to develop it. Iran is a more advanced country than Pakistan and they have perfected the fissle device to make it compact enough to be delivered by balistic missles, I am certain Iran can do it.

An EMP attack on the US would be by far the most bang for the buck if Iran wanted to use a weapon.

Although, as Hiroshima showed, 20kt would make a mess.

The desried effects required to have a mass shut down on part of the continental United States would only need the weapon to be detonated at around 1 mile above the middle of the country.
The continental divide or Rocky Mountains, would block most of the EMP effects on the west coast.
However, the desired effect would occur throughout most of the rest of the United States, frying the majority of all electronic systems. It would not however, effect the entire continent as stated in your link.
But it doesnt need to. It just needs to effect a specific area large enough to shut down that part of the country to be successful.

Yes I do realize that, but the U.S. isn't in quite the unstable geographic location that Iran is in, nor is it slammed up against so many countries. Like in Europe for instance, where you can swing a cat and touch about four different countries.
