Iraq under Saddam Hussein decided to bypass the US dollar and start selling oil for Euros and gold. It wasn't long after this decision that the "Saddam has WMD" stories started surfacing. Throw in a few "Saddam is murdering babies!" stories for good measure and in less than a year Iraq was being invaded.
Fast Forward to Libya 2011 when Qaddafi decides to bypass the US petro-dollar and start trading the countries oil for gold. Soon after, the western MSM was reporting stories of the Libyan people's wish to overthrow this brutal tyrant. As usual, we heard stories of massacres and baby murders again before the western sponsored rebels overthrew Qaddafi.
Now, Iran has been actively been trying to bypass the petro-dollar for quite some time and has actually succeeded to a certain extent. And wouldn't you just know it, they are now villains in the eyes of the MSM western press.
Is anyone else seeing a pattern here?
Does anyone else think that maybe, just maybe this has more to do with the US trying to preserve the dollar's status as the world's reserve currency than Iran building a bomb?
Remember without the US dollar having reserve status, the US economy collapses.
For many reasons I don't think Iran should have a bomb either but I wish the western press would stop lying about the real reasons for the Iran hate fest.
