Shouldn't African-Americans be THANKFUL of the slave trade?

There are more slaves in South Africa right now than at the peak of the slave trade, but no-one mentions it because its Black people owning Black people.

If you take a Chinese child, that has never learned another language to another country, what would happen? Yet, we are told that they were "illiterate". Nope. What happened to slaves was a curse. Current blacks in america have more advantages with affirmative action policies than any people in the history of the world.

The majority of ALL people in the deep south in the 1800s and 1900s lived in poverty. My own parents, who never took a cent from anyone (except what they were paid for working their fingers to the bone) were born in southern poverty as dire as any blacks who lived there. My dad sharecropped in the summer, cut timber in the winter and pulled himself up by his bootstraps out of the poverty that everyone he knew experienced. I was born in a "shotgun" house, where my parents and 3 older brothers were living...a one room shack. Most of the people then lived in that kind of poverty; it was not exclusive to the blacks. My folks and I never had the advantages that blacks have had in the past few decades. I am against slavery and mistreatment of ANYONE, ANY COLOR, and I grew up in the deep south. I have never seen any mistreatment of any color, and on the contrary, all the blacks were on welfare (THAT POLITICAL MINDSET IS WHAT HAS MISTREATED THEM) when I was growing up and it is worst now than then. There are plenty of white trash people on welfare as well, but the whites in my family and those we knew never wanted or received anything unless they (we) worked for it.
Modern day poverty of US welfare is far superior to anything that any third world countries experience...I have heard social workers even boast that "our kids.. (on welfare) are dressed better and eat better than those of the working class.

Furthermore, if blacks want reparations, why don't they sue the muslims and black Africans for them, since they enslaved and sold them to start with. The majority of us who are now paying taxes are NOT descendants of white slave owners. Some blacks were slave owners as well.
