The NASA part doesn't seem accurate: [ link to en.wikipedia.org] But apart from that it's still surprising that he would "resent the West" as a person who studied there... because a person can work extremely hard in the Global Southh and barely survive, whereas a person in the North can barely work and grow obese. A situation brought to you by the banking empires at the point of a gun. The freedom that they hate is the freedom from ethical and moral constraints. The freedom they crave is the freedom to do the right thing.
