If I am a juror:
As for unpremeditated murder in the 2nd degree of the male = Not Guilty.
As for the same charge with regard to the female = Guilty.
The situation had changed significantly between the two deaths, and the second person (female) was killed execution style, when no further fear for his life could be demonstrated.
He'll go to jail for killing the girl, and the lapse in judgement when he didn't call the cops.
