Interesting point to make.....
Why can we see thousands of stars in the video, yet not 1 star in hundreds of NASA photos of Earth and the Moon?
Quoting: --Voltaic--  Doesn't it have to do with the sun being visible? When the sun is shining while you take the photo it will drown out all other light, but when it was behind the earth in these shots you can see the stars like you can at night normally.
