Quoting: BRIEF But Brief, why wouldn't the Insurance Companies pull the same crap they pulled after Katrina, where they said "Well, if your place was harmed by the hurricane itself we'll pay, but we are exempt from paying for the damage inflicted by the surge of water (caused by the levees breaking)? It appears that the greater percentage of Sandy damage was caused by the tidal surge rather than the storm itself (although the water was "pushed" by the wind) which would then be called "flood" damage. And we have all seen how the Insurance companies will split hairs in their attempts to weasel out of paying. Unless one has separate Flood Insurance or a "rider" on their policy, "flooding" is not covered. "I have come to the conclusion that all news should be treated like 9/11, assume it is a psyop with actors participating in a staged event complete with props, until proven otherwise, in which case assume whatever is being recorded, reported, televised, is distortions/lying by omission/outright lies, until proven otherwise." - Anonymous, 4-13-12 |

Maybe there are so many claims the insurance companies are swamped and it may take time to get to everyone. It is not like this just happened to a couple of people. If the insurance companies are dragging their feet then the government should go after them. If the person did receive their check but is slow to comply then of course charge them. But what about the crews needed to demolish the house and cart the trash away? Maybe there aren't enough people to do this fast enough. |

And we have all seen how the Insurance companies will split hairs in their attempts to weasel out of paying. Unless one has separate Flood Insurance or a "rider" on their policy, "flooding" is not covered. It's as though he's trapped in Glp. In the real world insurance companies don't rush to pay out. Especially an area damaged to the tune of 9 billion dollars! (Maybe more, just trying to stay conservative) I've never dealt with a total loss scenario, but what claims I have made were done very quickly...usually because I stay on top of them and get results... This was my point. But that guy knows everything, so much in fact he just stays on here all day everyday, talking about BULLSHIT |
