He loves putting on a show and leaving everyone guessing until the end...and even when the end comes to leave most of them clueless or puzzled about how it ended 3. He is an immortal shapeshifter with immense intelligence and innate knowledge of everything 4. #3's kinda an odd set of traits for a mere son of a frost giant to have...not to mention Loki is god-sized, not giant-sized 5. Despite being called the God of Lies, in the Vedda he did nothing but point out the painful truths that all the other Gods wanted to cover up and forget. 6. He is the instigator of everything, including Ragnarok itself. 7. Despite his mischievous behavior, in the end everything he does benefits the gods in some way or another 8. Again and again the other gods use the cruelest of punishments for his misbehavior...everything ranging from sowing his mouth shut to killing his children and using their entrails to bind him. Despite his love for them they do nothing but abuse him in return I'll let you put the clues together. Loki,i cast him aside before i will again. |

| Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 28634412 11/28/2012 11:06 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Well, I'm back...and nobody got the answer right. But that's ok and to be expected...I've never read a single historian or expert on norse mythology make the connection, either. I must admit, I wouldn't have even begun looking at the pieces of the puzzle that is Loki in this way had it not been for another GLPer (who had a thing for apples). I'm surprised she didn't jump in the thread - she would have known the answer right away, as she was the one who gave it to me in the first place. Of course, I didn't understand it at first, or for a long time afterwards. Had to put the pieces together in a way that made sense to me before I could understand what she meant and how it was possible. So without further ado and with much deliberation beforehand, I shall.... respond to your posts! (and then give the answer Just gotta love those string-you-along threads. Quoting: Nullvoice "Follow the string kitty! Follow the string! Almost...almost...OH jerked it away!" I'll tell, don't worry If you tell the truth in a world of lies Quoting: 141 You will be called the liar You will be shut up in anyway possible Bc truth hurt if you are caught in the illusion Yet truth is truth And truth want out Intriguing where this leads Lots of love to you Indeed. Loki tried to take dream from all, now hes chained to a rock with serpent dripping venom onto his face. he had a mistress trapped with him, wether or not she still stops the venom dripping on him god only knows Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28608748 Brace yourselves...Ragnarok is coming. And you are very close to the answer, or at least part of it. |
| Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 28634412 11/28/2012 11:39 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Ok, the answer. Again, most will fail to see the significance (or even that what I say is plausible)...after all, it's just speculations on old norse tales, right? I will simply tell you the answer...the importance of the information, the connections it has with the nature of reality and a certain person who is well known on GLP (among other places), the metaphor and personal truth within it is up to you to find. Loki is the true All-Father. Odin holds the title, but Loki is the real deal. Read my list in the op in this order and you might see it, or at least how it's plausible. 3, 2, 4, 1, 6, 7, 5, 8 AC 28608748 said this...feel it deserves a mention here. which fits in perfectly with 5 - 8 It is all just a show he put on for himself...however, he didn't want to just watch it, he wanted to participate in it...in such a way as to never be discovered. He could get away with it because he is the ultimate master of deception...but despite his skills with trickery his nature is to confront corruption with truth, while still using subterfuge when the truth is not received. Why does he allow himself to be punished, hated and abused constantly, even though he doesn't deserve such cruel treatment? Because he can take it. Because it's all a part of his plan, his show. Xanatos all the way. Why any of it? Only Loki really knows...anything else is just speculation. And since some give him the title of the God of Madness, perhaps he himself does not know? Anyways, that's it. The big answer. Loki's behind everything because in a way he is everything...at least partially. He created it all anyways (again, at least partially), set it in motion. For reasons only he knows, if he even knows. ![]() |

| Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 28634412 11/28/2012 11:44 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Also true! Prometheus sought to bring fire to the humans (and thus technology and progress)...he wanted to set things in motion for the betterment of all. But the gods wouldn't have it and so punished him in near identical fashion. Also of interest - Loki is also known as the God of Fire...another connection with Prometheus there. |
