Look, fucknut, I never proposed any scenario. Period. YOU said straight out that "neither a bow OR an arrow will penetrate milspec issue armor". I - quite nicely I believe - asked for a citation as many vests designed to stop bullets do NOT stop arrows or other piercing weapons. I even asked - again nicely - if you maybe meant they would stop an arrow if they had the trauma plates installed. Then you tried to be snarky prick.

I went to look up specs for interceptor armor, as apparently we're only talking about that specific armor here. I did not find anything indicating it would stop piercing weapons. I checked and did not find anything contradicting my statement, and you can't/won't provide any evidence otherwise, so I'll stick with my assertion that you are wrong about arrows not being able to penetrate it.

During the Clinton years, Congress enacted a partial, temporary semiautomatic ban but allowed it to sunset after 10 years because of its lack of significant negative impact on crime, according to surveys conducted by the National Association of Chiefs of Police.

The Obama administration, now safely reelected, may order the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) to take the classification step. I have the best body armor made and if I get hit with a FMJ 375 ruger I'm toast dont kid yourself about body armor protection. The rounds most prepper shoot from thier high power deer rifles are home grown nasty boys. 20 years in CJSOTF and I assure you even the mil spec won't stand up to the FAL FMJ it just won't happen. And even if you can manage to stop penetration of multiple FMJ hits I assure you that the receiver will not be on his feet anytime soon. there is no bullet 'proof', there is bullet 'resistant', and in soft armor that pertains to standard pistol and shotgun munitions. Rifle munitions require the proper hard plates, and that is that.
I'm not kidding anyone, I'm trying to stick to reality, and reality is that antique weapons are not worthy or reliable adversaries or defences against a modern military force.
