A 30 day supply is probably the MINIMUM that each person should have, but in reality how many people have 9000 rounds of ammo for their guns sitting in their closet? (and 22LR rounds do NOT count) The issue anymore isn't guns ... there are almost a couple of hundred million guns out there now ... the REAL issue is AMMO!! What good does someone buying another AR-15 do if on average they (across all the new buyers) only have 3 boxes (60 rounds) of ammo for it? I'm going to assume you don't actually hunt or know many people in the Midwest. A large majority supply and refill their own ammo be rifle or shotgun. Most don't exactly like the idea of driving to the Wally World to buy a 1000 round box of cheap Winchester high velocity nerf gun ammo the fails to eject 60% of the time. I live in Midwest suburbia. Youre suggesting that primarily agrarian societies didnt have weapons to hunt with or defend their homes? How quaint of you to believe that was the case, especially when there was no police force or expectation of rescue by mr gummint when problems and banditry arose. Certainly they had guns,(and no doubt bow'narrows and pointy sharp swords too) and most certainly someone came round and asked nicely for them, and they believed that it would end there. How "quaint" of you to believe communists countries were armed in the same way America is and will be in order to protect us against becoming a communist country. ^sigh* In times past the odds were far better for the public than presently. in the past, a soldier had to be face to face with his adversary, not so much nowadays. You can be dispatched with ease and not even see it coming or know you were in trouble. And that's the real problem... Once again you have no clue how useless the US military will be on its on soil. I commanded troops and you sir have no clue. I had troops of my own and they scared the %^& out of me how stupid and ungrounded in any form of discipline or goals of self sufficiency they were. These people allegedly just voted in a cypher that simply hands out favors, and that's your hope for 'merica? Get real. Most cant imagine not having internet or some stupid ball game to watch to give their life meaning, and certainly not gonna put themselves out over some version of 'liberty' for others if someone promises them a goody from some neighbors home or wallet. Somehow someone helped kill off millions of their neighbors in russia, china, cambodia, vietnam, etc etc. Who were those people and what were they promised? They were not armed Exactly!! so, you were there? It wasnt a matter of no arms, it was a matter of being OUTARMED by mr gummint, just like right here, right now. Thanks for the opportunity to make my point Really? Ever read about the "gummint" Red Coats and the Minute Men? The British thought they'd come on over and set things straight right quick. How'd that whole Revolutionary War turn out? The people that were out armed won!! NO, it's not a matter of being out armed (which I don't think would happen anyway because our military is on our side). It IS a matter of being out mustered by will and determination. |

There are a lot of gun owners that will not give them up so easy. The US military has said that hey will not follow an unconstitutional order to disarm law abiding American citizens. That means King Barry would need a foriegn army to come take our guns. That could mean a lot of blue helmets with holes in them. Anonymous Coward User ID: 22022484 United States 11/28/2012 05:28 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | [link to www.themoralliberal.com] Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28630333 An anti-gun owner initiative considered in Washington could lead to massive civil disobedience and a severe domestic crisis, gun law expert John M. Snyder warned on Friday. “According to confidential information,” he said, “forces linked with the administration suggest the government classify semiautomatic firearms and multiple capacity ammunition feeding devices as Title 2 National Firearms Act items under the Gun Control Act of 1968. Americans familiar with federal gun laws understand that under this scenario, semiautomatics and high capacity magazines could be acquired only with great difficulty and at great expense by America’s estimated 100 million law-abiding firearms owners, notes Snyder. According to Snyder and other gun ownership advocates, the Obama administration long ago realized it would have insurmountable difficulty getting a semiautomatic gun ban, such as that considered by Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) and others, passed Congress, especially when the House is controlled by defenders of the Second Amendment. Congressional Second Amendment supporters already are preparing for such a battle. During the Clinton years, Congress enacted a partial, temporary semiautomatic ban but allowed it to sunset after 10 years because of its lack of significant negative impact on crime, according to surveys conducted by the National Association of Chiefs of Police. The Obama administration, now safely reelected, may order the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) to take the classification step. Some gun-grabbers view the designation of Street Sweeper shotguns as Title 2 firearms during the Clinton administration as precedent for such a move. Read the rest at the link!! THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!! |
