The Lion and the Mouse

Deep in the depths
Of the lush green jungle
A lion lies sleeping
And a mouse busies with scurrying

He ran over and on top
Of the nose of the lion
Carelessly awakening him from his slumber

Furious
The lion roars
Catches the mouse
And threatens to swallow

He begs for his freedom
And is set free
And the mouse promises to return the favor

Some time later
The lion was caught
In the trap of a man
Wrapped in a net

The lion roared out
And the mouse recalled
He came to the rescue
And gnawed those ropes

Thanks were exchanged
And both were thankful
The weak need to strong
As the strong need to weak
