It's hard to be honest when your memories are misty.
This is not my strongest resource.
Just looking for my roots.
Did you dig them up?

Re: The Fringe
You might think you’ve peeped the scene
You haven’t, the real one’s far too mean
The watered down one, the one you know
Was made up centuries ago
They made it sound wack and corny
Yes it’s awful, blasted boring
Twisted fictions, sick addictions
Well gather ‘round children, zip it, listen

Re: The Fringe
The Lion and the Mouse

Deep in the depths
Of the lush green jungle
A lion lies sleeping
And a mouse busies with scurrying

He ran over and on top
Of the nose of the lion
Carelessly awakening him from his slumber

Furious
The lion roars
Catches the mouse
And threatens to swallow

He begs for his freedom
And is set free
And the mouse promises to return the favor

Some time later
The lion was caught
In the trap of a man
Wrapped in a net

The lion roared out
And the mouse recalled
He came to the rescue
And gnawed those ropes

Thanks were exchanged
And both were thankful
The weak need to strong
As the strong need to weak

Re: The Fringe
I arrived here, at this door that you’re looking at now three weeks ago at approximately one o’clock in the morning on a fateful night. I was down on the corner of Broadway and 42nd burglarizing some old wench’s home when I first heard the sirens. My keen sense of sound picked up on it before most would’ve, and I knew that they had to becoming from the NWN. I pondered a second to think of who could’ve possibly called the police to alarm them of my entry and realized that I didn’t have time to ponder my unstealthy mistakes. Had I tripped some silent alarm? I told my self to forget about it as I made my rapid escape from the crime scene.

I hopped into the get away vehicle, and to make a very long story short our vehicle crashed somewhere outside the city in the rural woods. Next thing I knew, I was standing in front of this door. The night was well, as black as the night can be in the rurals, and there was no light to illuminate my surroundings. I must’ve bumped my head when the crash happened and been wondering around for a bit and only came to my senses when I stumbled across this door. The white rotting wood stood out against the pitch blackness of the night. Being in the condition that it was in I immediately assumed that it had to be abandoned.

Right?

Wrong.

It certainly wasn’t the first mistake that I had made this fateful night.

I placed my hand on the cold metal knob and cautiously crept into the rotting edifice.

Re: The Fringe
Lightly bouncing on the soft ground I caught my first glimpse of the creature.
I watched his miniscule and delicate movements.
I moved towards the creature to get a closer peak at the foreign animal.
He cheerfully sat where the beautiful pine fence met the ugly ratted chain one.
Avoiding all subtleties that might have alarmed the creature
I finally came to him without making him flee.
He noticed my approach but only continued to gleefully bounce around.
His beautiful feathers and shiny crown were all in perfect placement.
From its ebony head to its fluffy white tail, its feathers were painted on to perfection.
The creature appeared intellectual
And almost quizzical
And I hoped that he didn’t think I was there to eat him.
Closer examination revealed the creature was injured.
His delicate scaly limb was tucked away out of sight.
I wanted to take it in,
But I understood that the creature was wild
And his home was meant to be amongst the crumbly leaves of fall and all the other wilds.
I spent the afternoon in the shade of the pine admiring the bird’s peculiarities.
Upon returned from getting my field guide
I realized that he was gone.
And he had returned to the wild as he was supposed to.

Re: The Fringe
for my final act
i am going to flash the light switch
rapidly on and off
to cause a spicy tourettes episode
probably covered in crumbly scrubs
kissing fish
in undersea dens of opium
not because of overdose
but because of the shock of electricity in the water
because barbecues are always more fun
without the vegetarian sauce
unless u like the chunky moldy kind
and that's just kinda, well,
something that turns me on
like makes me wet
for a vegetarian barbeque
only if held
on a Saturday

Re: The Fringe
I couldn’t tell you what that was just all about. I’m flying crow right now. For the past month or so I've been spending every day attempting to disestablish myself from consciousness. My days are spent reading and sleeping trying to let every feeling and thought slip by without emotion. These primitive and simplistic methods of sleeping and reading seem to cause mild enough distraction, but I'm afraid the strength of the effects are waning. I'm caught in a bubble, and my conscious thoughts touch the deepest depths of what unpleasant is defined as. I wish someone would burst me and then immerse me in Hell.

I can’t help but think that I’m being played.
