Our Prime Minister tells us Earth is only some 6000 years old !! How can this be?

These kinds of threads (read Darwin-obsessed DGN?) just show how very far the faith-based position has fallen in social power. 400 years ago they would have simply threatened you with violence for heresy using the apparatus of the state and you'd very likely shut up or be martyred. Now they have to appropriate incorrectly tidbits of scientific-sounding rhetoric in order to justify their own beliefs. The fact that they even need to justify themselves shows they're losing the war for hearts and minds.

? The Bible didn't "invent" dinosaurs. Dinosaurs existed from day 6 of Creation. Chinese told of dinosaurs too, absolutely, in fact Alexander the Great wrote of how the Chinese Emperor used dragons to pull his chariots. I do not understand your logic there?

Fossils are found in different layers due to hydrological sorting. Look it up if you don't know what that is. Another reasons different animals are found in different layers, is because they would have been running to higher ground from the flood waters, just like they do in forest fires and modern-day floods. It does NOT take millions of years for fossils to form, go look up the petrified cowboy boot, as just one example.
The Geologic Column is a fantasy, and exists NOWHERE in the world, except for the textbooks. There are thousands of examples of petrified trees running through "millions of years" of layers. They are called poly-strata fossils, look that up too, while you are at it.
The evidence is exactly the same, it is the interpretation that is different. You find a fossil in the ground and say "see proof of millions of years". I see a fossil in the dirt and say "see proof of a world-wide flood". Interpretation is everything, and it is all dependent upon your world-view.
I doubt you will look up any of the FACTS because you hide behind your philosophy to try and justify your sinful lifestyle, and your desire to not be accountable to God for it. It is like standing in the middle of a freeway and saying "I don't believe in trucks, therefore they don't exist, therefore I will never be hit by one". The judgement of a righteous God is going to bear down upon you whether you believe in Him or not. There will be no excuses, you have all had plenty of evidence in your face your entire life. God will not be mocked. Every knee will bow. Repent and turn to our only way out of this mess; the LORD Jesus Christ!

Many of you miss the very large gap of time that took place between Genesis 1:1 and 1:2 because because most teachers do not take the time or effort to take the English translations back to the original texts.

There is more throughout the Word about the foundation of the world that documents this but is missed for similar reasons.

Amos 8:11 has been fullfiled and is ongoing because most teachers can not rightly divide the Word.

A highway is something tangible, something real and something with a purpose. I can see, feel and taste it if I want too. I KNOW trucks travel on it. The bible is proof of nothing. The bible was written by men, not god. The bible is not a historical text. It blows my mind that people can think basing their ideas on a book written by desert dwelling sand people(old testament at least) hundreds of years ago.

Oh I googled your hydrologic sorting by the way. That idea would mean that the flood would have had to stir up hundreds of feet of soil, randomly mix everything in and settle. Where did the water go that covered the entire earth? All of the water that is here today has been here forever. What about the fossils found in extremely hard rock? Water would not have broken the rock up so that the fossil could be inserted. EVERY site that mentions is is a pro-christian site. Remember that little bit I said about it being a support group? There it is right there. You use false scientific methods to justify your beliefs.

This reality is obviously too complex and confusing for you, so please preach about god all you want, but leave science out of it.

It is not ad hominem, me saying you and I are sinners wasn't used to discredit your argument. I know you are one, as well as I, because the Bible says "all have sinned and come short of the glory of God". The Bible was penned by men, inspired by God. It is like if you sit down and wrote a letter then someone said you didn't really write it, the pen did. True it did, but you were the intelligence behind the ink, and every stroke of your pen was deliberately produced by your mind. The Bible says "For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost". If man wanted to write the Bible, he could not. And if he could, he would not want to.

God has given you plenty of evidence of His existence right in front of your face. The Bible says: "For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:"

The water from the flood gathered in giant pools known today as oceans and seas. The Bible describes that before the flood there was only one body of water (I would deduce a rather large ocean) and lots of subterranean water chambers. During the flood the Bible said that the "fountains of the great deep broke open", causing it to rain for 40 days and 40 nights. These subterranean water chambers were held under immense pressure, and when they blew up it was the worst of catastrophes, the likes of which the world had never seen, nor ever will again (until it is flooded by fire, which the Bible says is the final judgement of man). The mid-atlantic ridge was likely the largest fountain that burst forth; it virtually split the earth in two. After the flood, the Earth's surface was shifting violently; mountain ranges formed rapidly and tectonic plates shifted great distances. The water filled in the low places and settled into the "pools" that we today refer to as oceans and seas. If you look at the world's mountain ranges, most of them run parallel with the oceans.

(If you doubt hydrological sorting is real (which I don't think is what you are saying, but can't be sure), take a couple of handfuls of sand, dirt, ext. and throw them into a glass container. Fill it with water, then shake it up really good. The different types of soil will naturally sort themselves out.)

There is an interesting theory, that I accept, called the "Canopy Theory". It explains that before the flood, there was a thick layer of ice above the atmosphere. This ice would have blocked a lot of UV rays, and would have acted like a greenhouse, creating a tropical environment all over the planet. This explains why entire forests are discovered buried beneath the ice on both poles, how humans lived to be 900+ years old and also why the dinosaurs were so big. Reptiles never stop growing, so if they are living to be hundreds of years old they would have been huge. Fossilized bones of dinosaurs indicate they were very big, which could be interpreted that they lived a very long time. Also, the canopy would have trapped more oxygen in the atmosphere. Air bubbles found in petrified tree sap (made famous by Jurassic Park) are known as Amber have been tested to be around 30% oxygen. Today, oxygen in the atmosphere is closer to 3%. That means the atmosphere would have been like a hyperbolic chamber (Google if you do not know what that is, very interesting) with extremely high oxygen and pressure rates.

The fossils were not inserted into the hard rock, the fossils (and oil for that matter) are trillions of organisms that were killed in the flood. The rock layers were not there, the water, sand, and debris from the hydrological sorting that took place created the rock layers and most of the rocks. The fossils that are found inside the rocks are evidence that the rock was once soft, and also that the organisms that were fossilized, were fossilized quickly. There are numerous examples of rapid burial, such as a fossil of a fish eating another fish, which is easily found on a Google search. Also, a Tyrannosaurus Rex bone was found with soft-tissue inside the bone still intact. How could bone marrow last for millions of years?? It couldn't, obviously. But instead of facing the obvious answer that the bone was likely only a few thousand years old, the scientist that discovered it said that bone marrow must be able to last millions of years (knowing full well bone marrow is one of the first things to decompose). They even made up a completely fabricated reasoning as to how this happened, citing that bone pores were so small that bacteria couldn't get in! This just goes to show the ignorance of modern "science". "Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools".
