Does anyone have an abnormally low body temperature? Radiation poisoning? | |

Quoting: LisaDiane It seems as though everyone that I ask has a low temperature. Please contribute your thoughts. I think our thermometers nowadays are junk, that's what. nothing beats mercury in an old-style thermometer. and if you want real body-core temperature, take it rectally. Former nurse. This morning my temperature was 95.8. Right now it is 96.2. Plus I continue to gain weight. I may buy an ear thermometer as I believe they are more accurate. there is a rhythm to your temperature throughout the day. if it was 95.8 in the AM and rose to 96.2, it is showing the normal increase, which usually continues til about 4 in the afternoon. then it goes down again slightly. so your baseline is low, but the fact that it went up is normal. this is in addition to temp elevations due to exercise or whatever - it is just a normal pattern. It would seem that the reason I am gaining weight is that my body temperature is not high enough to metabolize fat at 100%. etc. LisaDiane |

Quoting: LisaDiane If so, did these weight issues: (1) begin after Fukishima ( March 2011)? (2) begin once your temperature dropped? My temp is also very low, I'm around 96.3, don't tolerate extreme temp changes at all, I'm always either freezing or too hot. I have gained about 30 lbs in the past two years despite dieting, excercising, etc. I'm tired all the time! I went to the doctor and had everything tested and of course I'm in the normal range so no help. I feel feverish when I'm at a normal temp. I really need to find a solution so please share your findings😊 |

That is why when I lived in Germany, it was recommended to have iodine on hand to take in case of a radiation release from the nearby nuclear power plant - the iodine would collect in your thyroid, and by doing so block it from taking in radioactivity. the thyroid is called the master gland because it controls so many bodily functions. Body temperature is one. so a connection between radiation and thyroid function exists. Liberalism is totalitarianism with a human face – Thomas Sowell |

Quoting: Lady Jane Smith My daughter's temp is also around 97.5. Maybe it is just normal for some people? ^^^THIS^^^ My normal is high 95s to low 96s. When my body temperature is 98.6 I feel crappy. Some doctors do not "get" this. FFS have they never heard of the bell curve and averages?!?!? My blood pressure is also low 90 or 100 for the low number is normal, 120 is high high normal and 140 means I am in severe pain or distress. My Dad is the same. NOTHING to do with Fukushima!!! |

Body temperature is one. so a connection between radiation and thyroid function exists. A connection between hypothyroidism and metabolism exists. Radiation can cause thyroid cancer. My Dad never has had any thyroid problems. One of my sisters takes thyroid medicine and has low normal body temp and high blood pressure, (like my Dad, and like my Mom - high blood pressure). I take thyroid medicine and am like my Dad, both before having to take medicine and after, I have low body temp and low blood pressure, just like my Dad. 99.1 will lay us out in bed unable to do much at all. Some of us do not fall along the norm in the temp or other average bell curve areas. If someone is concerned about Fukushima radiation and their thyroid, they need to get checked for cancer. I find it doubtful people in the USA have thyroid radiation issues, people in Japan or wherever the fallout went immediately may want to get checked out...Chernobly proved this as thyroid cancer rates soared in the aftermath. Thyroid cancer is completely curable though, so people shouldn't freak out, just get checked. Last Edited by g.r.i.t.s. on 12/21/2014 02:49 PM |

I will gain weight with a long term fever bc I am not up and about burning calories in my normal low body temp state. Most people who have hypothyroidism aren't much overweight, if at all. When I was diagnosed I was underweight bc being hypothyroid can cause you to not want to eat much...that is a low metabolism thing. I feel feverish at what is considered normal or low grade temps, but that is bc when my temp rises to that point I am ill and fighting off an infection. Go see a doctor. Get checked for hashimoto's disease, it is an autoimmune disorder which attacks the thyroid and can make you hypothyroid, yet regular thyroid blood work will show normal bc of the antibodies. Find a GOOD Endocrinologist. Do your own research to inform yourself, too. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 34067841 Belgium 12/21/2014 03:11 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I've always been around 96.2f or 35.7c average. In the mornings and at lows of the day I'm usually at around 95.3f or 35.2c. Sometimes a bit lower. My highs go up to 97.1f or 36.2c I get chills (from fever) at 97.9 or 36.6c At 98.6f or 37c I'm totally experiencing fever. I can go into "hypothermia" without noticing much. At some point of the day (usually while asleep) my temperature drops below 95f or 35c. When I'm out in the cold too long, or some random occasions it does the same during the day. I often don't notice. Sometimes my nails, or lips (rarer) turning purple gives it away. I start feeling weak when I drop below or 93.2f or 34c. But I'm still functional at that point, just not optimal anymore. I've always been this way. I also have low blood pressure. During my teens my blood pressure would sometimes drop as low as to 75/45. My average was always around 90/55. With age it's gone up to an average of 105/65. My rest pulse can also drop below 50. I'm slim. I can eat a lot and won't gain weight. But I can also eat very little and won't really lose much weight either. |

Have you checked out Wilson’s Temperature Syndrome? [link to www.wilsonssyndrome.com] Fuku radiation is most likely destroying everyone's thyroid so if a low temp is something new for you, radiation should be considered. |

Iodine is fantastic but should be taken in a protocol with selenium (critical for t4 to t3 and Rt3 conversion), magnesium, vitamin c, and possible b2 and b3. These companion nutrients are very important. B3 (flushing niacin only) helps push toxins out of the body. It can be uncomfortable but the feeling usually subsides in about 30 minutes. Diatomaceous earth helps many people detox. Salt loading and b2 can help ease detox symptoms. Read Dr. Brownstein's books on iodine. Coconut oil is really helpful for thyroid issues and regulating metabolism. Try cutting carb intake to one day a week. Avoid processes foods. They're loaded with gmos that have been sprayed with endocrine disrupting chemicals. |
