My point is that once a wise and valuable truth is expressed, others cannot simply let the thread pass without the need to attack, degrade or insult the OP for their views. Again, the issue is NOT with GLP. I find the sight very useful. My issue is with people that feel the need to attack threads that they know nothing about simply to kill or derail the discussion. Thank you OP for bringing this topic up. I was glad I saw this thread as I too have been thinking how disrespectful some folk are to those who have opinions different to theirs. Yes it would be a very boring world if everyone believed the same thing, but if someone has a different opinion or belief why cant they say so in a nicer way. Its sad to see so many trying to belittle or make fun of folk in this way .. everyone is entitled to believe what they want and differing opinions should be respected and discussed .. is that not what forums like this are for??? |
