Fly n Fox User ID: 28390136 United States 11/28/2012 05:45 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | They ask for zipcode to determine the best areas to mail out the store flyers. In other words, people living farther away would not be frequenting the store, so they can cut down on sending out store flyers to people who do not shop in that store. Hope this helps. PS I try always to use cash. My very local bank has never hassled me whenever I go in for several thousand cash. We sell FUN ! Ralph--a house dog User ID: 25802009 United States 11/28/2012 06:25 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Imagine my anger and dismay when, for anyone standing there to hear, a bank teller actually asked me what I was planning to use a cash withdrawal for. It was a relatively unremarkable amount (few thousand dollars), and to add insult to injury, the bank gave me grief about not having my cash on hand in the first place. Quoting: Veranidae That's happened to me too! Exactly the same thing in a bank I had this exact same thing. I'm not exactly wealthy full balance in the bank is usually around 5k. When I went to withdraw 2k$ and asked for cash the teller actually got the bank manager who then asked why I would need to withdraw cash, what it was for, and if a cashier check would suffice. I then changed my request and to withdrawing my entire balance in cash and closing the account. Drove 3 minutes down the road and opend an account with a local credit union. Get your money outta the banks now give it to the local credit unions and small banks. You might be glad you did. Chase Bank has been doing this for several years. I still keep one account there for various reasons even though I consider that bank almost on a par with Monsanto. The last time they asked me what I was going to do with the cash, I said that they would have every right to ask me that question if I were borrowing it from them, but since I wasn't, they didn't. It wasn't an enormous amount but the teller still went over and talked to the manager. He just waved at me but he wasn't smiling. I got my cash and have been looking at small local banks for a new account. Ohwell User ID: 1130828 United Kingdom 11/29/2012 03:00 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This is becoming more common, these kind of "surveys" and "questionnaires" Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1498627 Anyone else why they are paying cash? Havent you been seeing the move to Near Field Communications built into modern mobile phones for cashless transaction? Its tip to totalitarianism. You cant stop this unless you come to terms with living in a society where money doesn't exist and learn to trust each other. Thats just the bottom line. Will you learn to trust each other or have overlords govern and preside over the way you relate to each other? Oh, and jesus wont save people as much as they wish this as I have said, its all about loving and trusting each other at the end of it all and since people aren't ready to display this, then I don't think it wise for any saviour, is there is one, to save them from themselves. |
