I did a search for "baguette" and didn't see this already and I know search may or may not be a little screwy for new threads, but I didn't see anything on this already...
This guy does a few magic tricks, but a friend pointed me to about 4m30s where he makes a baguette appear seamingly from thin air...
How is this done? Skip to 4m and watch for 60 seconds.
I see a few possibilities: 1 - Magic trick of deception and redirection (in his coat!) 2 - Magick (through a portal!) 3 - Camera tricks/complete setup (CGI)
I worked with a guy who did those sorts of tricks, had no idea how he did it, he was once doing card tricks, he pulled out a giant playing card from where I don't know. It's all sleight of hand stuff, that baguette thing I don't know, could be CGI or some sort of set up, camera angle trick perhaps, but it looked awesome.
But it doesn't seem like the angle of the baguette and the length of it seems to match up. Also, it almost looks misaligned in a few places as well, without disturbing his collar?
