Of course he's not concerned, as he also mislead us. He ALWAYS misleads us.

As important as this issue is with the misleading (lying), I wish someone would ask where was obama during those seven hours of the attack, why didn't they send help to the embassy in all those hours and why wasn't there better security in the first place, as requested by the Ambassador.
 Quoting: truthwillsetyoufreeagain

Sean Smith and what he said in a video game online just before he was killed in Benghazi.

He was online playing EVE a mmo video game from inside the compound! Transcripts live form the night of the attack up to first shot.

RiP Sir.

His name online was vile_rat

(12:54:09 PM) vile_rat: assuming we don't die tonight. We saw one of our 'police' that guard the compound taking pictures

[vile_rat 9/11/12 2:40 PM]: gunfire

They were not allowed to take in their own guards, just like the SAS was not allowed. Their own guards paid for by the US attacked them.
 Quoting: Chrit

Not only was info coming out of the compound live in real time streaming for everyone to see. The Official time line and story do not add up. If Sean Smith was worried about "surviving the night"1 hour and 44 min before the first shot then nothing is true in the official story.

His first quote 7:54 local time(12:54:09 PM) vile_rat: assuming we don't die tonight. We saw one of our 'police' that guard the compound taking pictures

Ambassador Stevens had his last meeting of the day with a Turkish diplomat and escorted him to the main gate at about 8:30 pm (local time). This is 36 min after the guards were taking pictures of the diplomatic teams license plates.

The street outside the compound was calm; the State Department reported no unusual activity during the day outside. Again activity was reported clear as day.

Ambassador Stevens retired to his room about 9 pm; he was alone in the building, according to guards interviewed later. He was not alone.

About 9:40 pm (local time) large numbers of armed men shouting "Allāhu Akbar" descended on the compound from multiple directions.

Not surprising, but he will be soon enough. Graham and McCain are not going to let this fade into obscurity as Obama believes or hopes, and I believe in short time it will come to a head - with Oblabla at the top...

Watch for all sorts of mayhem as we get closer to that time....everything they normally do to distract and obfuscate will go into hyperdrive....

Just like it isn't the public's job to question her? Cop out.

Like she knows anything? I dont recall Nixon's Press Secretary ever being questioned at the Watergate hearings, on what he knew, when.

But why cover up for general Patreaus? Why arent you screaming about his knowledge of the cover up? He's the one that knows, had people on the ground. Rice doesnt know SHIT!
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28671712

Because it 'isn't her job' to know shit? I think you're underestimating her knowledge of what's truly going on. But that's just my opinion. There's always something to find out if you put your ear close enough to the ground...
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28576731

She may have known something because of previous contacts, but her official position doesnt allow her to question what info she is given,, and esp to make up her own speeches at the UN counter to the info she is given.

The attacking force that night on 9/11/2012 used FN F2000 and the article says ak-47 but they were AK-103’s

[link to www.upi.com]

Snip; The AK-103 and the F2000 do not typically turn up in the hands of the same fighting force (an exception to this rule may, occasionally, occur in India). There has been one recent conflict however, where precisely this has happened – Libya. These two weapons were used concurrently by both parties to the conflict, in fact. AK-103-2 rifles were found in the hands of pro-Qaddafi (and later rebel) fighters; these were manufactured in Russia and possibly served as precursors to a deal to produce such weapons locally. 367 F2000 Standard assault rifles, meanwhile, were known to have been exported by FN Herstal to Libya in 2009. They were intended for use by the elite 32nd ‘Khamis’ Brigade, and were later captured by rebel fighters and put to use against regime forces. The F2000 rifles seen in Libya were sold and equipped with FN Herstal underbarrel 40x46mm grenade launchers, known as the LG1. The F2000s pictured in Gaza also sport LG1s.

These same weapons are appearing not only in Gaza now but in the Mali revolution and the Syrian revolution and the Congolese revolution.

Quote “all of the militias are involved in selling weapons. There is no law in Libya, still no functioning government, and the country’s security forces are too weak to control the situation, and so selling weapons is regarded as legal by many of the rebels.“

[link to securityscholar.wordpress.com]

These weapons are not typical the implication behind them are serious.

They have now appeared in every, major conflict in Africa and the middle east. They helped take over northern Mali. They were used to take over the northern capitol of the Congo. They are appearing in Syria, that are appearing in the Gaza strip and yet there are only 367 of them.

These along with the great number of Ak103’s with night vision and thermal imaging are easily winning battle after battle all over Africa compared to the poorly armed local militias that are being attacked.

These weapons along with a lot of other weapons like the SA-7 and even the SA-24’s are being exported from the fallen Libyan military who was armed to defeat the United States if we attacked, also started the recent Israeli/Hamas conflict.

What really sucks is I have been waiting and waiting for this all to come out but no US news agency will pick it up and run with it.

Snip; In 2009, the Belgian Walloon Region issued the export licenses FN Herstal needed, and the weapons were shipped to Libya. But in 2011, as the rebels gained ground, the Belgian shipment scattered across the country -- in February 2012, I saw FN F2000 rifles on sale for $5,000. Of course, the weapons proliferation is not limited to just the FN F2000: In November 2011, for example, the authorities of Niger seized a shipment of weapons, consisting of AK assault rifles and FN FAL rifles, on their way from Libya to Mali.

With the end of the Libyan war, many of these weapons began to make their way to the international market. Strife-ridden Gaza, of course, represented an eager market for such armaments: In June 2012, the Egyptian authorities seized Libyan weapons from arms traffickers trying to smuggle them into the tiny coastal enclave.

Without serial numbers to trace, the Libyan scenario remains merely a hypothesis. But the simultaneous presence of AK-103 assault rifles in the al-Quds parade makes it even more plausible. Nic Jenzen-Jones described on his website how the Libyan war was the rare conflict where both weapons appeared simultaneously -- and that the version of the FN F2000 seen in Gaza was similar to that sold to the Libyan army. "The F2000 rifles seen in Libya were sold and equipped with FN Herstal underbarrel 40x46mm grenade launchers, known as the LG1," he wrote. "The F2000s pictured in Gaza also sport LG1s."

Even a year after Qaddafi's fall, the dictator's poisonous legacy continues to live on in conflicts far and wide. Of course, these Belgian-made rifles are not as problematic as MANPADS, which may have also made their way from Libya to Gaza. But although they won't play a decisive role in the Gaza conflict, they do drive home the helplessness of arms-exporting countries in keeping track of the military equipment they sell. And if Egypt or Libya -- incensed over the Israeli crackdown in Gaza -- decide to turn a blind eye to the arms flow, the problem will only get worse.

It's a cautionary tale for countries looking to gain the edge on faraway battlefields by arming their local allies: In the next war, they might find their own weapons turned against them.

Washington's Role in the Renewed Violence in DR Congo

Snip; The outbreak of fighting is also the result of a colossal failure by US foreign policy–makers dating back to the mid-1990s, aided and abetted by an ill-led United Nations peacekeeping force that stood by as the M23 seized Goma.

Rwanda borders DR Congo to the east, and is deeply implicated in the renewed fighting. Two UN investigations this year have already found that Rwanda is sustaining the M23 force; the most recent UN report, in October, charges that M23 is actually ultimately commanded by Rwanda’s defense minister, James Kabarebe. Observers in Goma are reporting that M23 is armed with sophisticated weapons, including 120-millimeter mortars and night-vision goggles, which the group could not have acquired on its own.

Snip2;Over the years, Rwanda has continued to intervene in eastern Congo. It claims it is there to prevent the resurgence of the génocidaires, but the former killers are no longer a significant force. Rwanda’s real aim is more venal; it is stealing minerals from eastern Congo, which has significant deposits of gold, cassiterite and coltan. Rwanda’s support for the M23 these days is mainly a cross-border thievery racket, which has been documented by UN inquiries.

But the UN itself is also responsible for the tragedy in eastern Congo. The UN has an 18,000-strong multinational peacekeeping force already stationed in the country, including troops right in Goma. The UN force, known as Monusco by its French initials, stood by as M23 invaded and seized the city. Congolese critics have for years bitterly disparaged Monusco as merely “tourists.” In an October report, the respected International Crisis Group also indicted the UN troops for passivity: “Despite Monusco’s superiority in numbers and firepower, it has not opposed the advance of M23 and it has therefore failed to carry out the essential element of its mandate: to protect the civilian population.”
