Guess I am the only mouth breather who does this?

Actually baby wipes are nice, I take them with us camping. They are thicker, softer and lotioned. Just too expensive to use always. Though they come in nice plastic cases.

Let's get explicit.
You've got to use the baby wipe to clean your asshole out, then use toilet paper to dry.
It's a combination thing.

Definitely baby wipes. I use Bum Boosa because they smell awesome! Lavender and orange natural scent. You do not want to use sythetic scent - it's really unhealthy.

Flushable wipes at walmart less than $2 for a pack.

Flushable wipes. Got them for the kids when they were potty training, and have continued to buy them for the entire family. (Now sometimes we do have a problem with somebody using more than necessary, but they work so much better than TP).

As a man my arse is hairy.

When I use wipes it makes all the hair sticky and itchy, ends up like trying to take a crap through a wire mesh.

But then if I use cheap loo roll it rips and I end up with clingons...

I would have to go with expensive loo roll.

baby wipes filled with harmful chemicals. toilet paper also, but probably less than wipes. besides you can get all natural toilet paper.

On the clog problem. If you've dropped a big dirty two flusher you flush that first and wait for the bowl to refill. Then flush the asswipe after.

Sewage systems in the UK can't cope with these 'flushable' wipes. Causing many blockages as they don't break down like ordinary loo roll.

You can get a spray to use on regular toilet paper which works very well for a clean butt.

buy a bidet.
