Oil is stored in salt domes.
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 24987057 Google "oil in salt domes" I'd post a link but driving. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 24987057 They punctured a hole in the Lake Peigneur incident. Did you watch the video? There were actually workers in the mine below. I know oil is stored in salt domes but it is a different situation. Are you driving & texting???? Quoting: Corn Dog Yeah watched vid about Lake p and the cause. I lived in S. LA and had friends in the oil industry. Given the geology of LA no telling what is about to happen. Texting in a big truck so no worries. Most cars around me are much smaller. :) I'm parked for a moment. No driving and texting. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 24987057 Thank you for parking... that makes me feel better. You are very correct about the geology, the stability of the land around the sinkhole doesn't give me much hope that this hole is done growing. We are up to 8 acres and now the thing is burping... interesting times ahead.
