first city-to-city express bus company is expanding in SoCal

I just checked there site and they charge only $1 for many of there fares in Cali to Nev..

How in the world are they doing this ???

Americans coming a bit late to the party aren't they? Megabus (part of Stagecoach) have been around over this side of the pond for ages. Plus we have National Express (which, after having used both, is much better). Is this really something that is newsworthy stateside??!!

It is perfectly legit. Over here both Megabus and National Express do loss leader fares to fill up empty seats or get people using the service. When you become reliant on the service you will find that booking at a time of your choosing is usually much more expensive - though still reasonable. Not sure about in the US, but here at least taxes have to be included in advertised prices.

You need to do a comparison between California and Britain on population density, etc.
