Megabus (part of Stagecoach) have been around over this side of the pond for ages. Plus we have National Express (which, after having used both, is much better). | Anonymous Coward User ID: 23992770 11/28/2012 07:53 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I just checked there site and they charge only $1 for many of there fares in Cali to Nev.. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 17534801 How in the world are they doing this ??? ![]() Taxes... Obviously, it won't end well. It's like Amtrak. It is perfectly legit. Over here both Megabus and National Express do loss leader fares to fill up empty seats or get people using the service. When you become reliant on the service you will find that booking at a time of your choosing is usually much more expensive - though still reasonable. Not sure about in the US, but here at least taxes have to be included in advertised prices. |
