If you translate the Chinese language from the source,
it is clear this was not meant to be humourous. :(

Thanks for sharing OP.

Please clarify. I think the child does not mean her words literally. So what literary device is she using that isn't understood by an English speaking readership?

Puh leeeeeeese. Pressure is what thirty year old mothers of gifted kids in America feel trying to get some of that state mandated appropriate public education out of our dumbed down american schools.

And by gifted I don't mean genius. No prodigy. Just bright and lively.

Mine wasn't "stressed" until graduate school. Not in the positive stress way. He was stressed by disrespectfully dumbed down math--disappointed to tears as a little tyke-and when I said the school had to advance him a grade in math as he already knew what they were teaching him I was told accelleration wasn't good. "Enrichment" is what they offered bright kids. What's enrichment? A social studies program.

I hate them.

And I have a hard time believing Americans know that a very humorous little girls is suffering apocalyptic anxiety over her exams. They told me the only reason my son was "so gifted" is that I taught him at home. I did not. They just didn't get that little brains LIKE to learn quickly. They ASSUMED I was a wicked tutoring mom pressuring my hurried child. Fuck them.

And leave the funny little girl alone. She's not being abused by being allowed to remain smart. Funny girls are HAPPY. Adopt her and stick her in our schools and she'll be turning in blood drippings from her wrists, "]lease let me go home!"

Like you know no one who would not put himself on IV for a sex and drug marathon or a road trip. Or at least tell it like he had.
