God is MIND, not a person. not even those in the highest realms on Paradise have a clue how consciousness and mind arose. The actual Lord's Prayer Given by Jesus 2000 years ago. "MY SPIRIT, YOU ARE OMNIPOTENT. YOUR NAME IS HOLY. MAY YOUR REALM BE INCARNATE IN ME. MAY YOUR POWER REVEAL ITSELF WITHIN ME, ON EARTH AND IN THE HEAVEN. GIVE ME TODAY MY DAILY BREAD, AND THUS, LET ME RECOGNIZE MY TRANSGRESSIONS AND ERRORS, AND I SHALL RECOGNIZE THE TRUTH. AND DO NOT LEAD ME INTO TEMPTATION AND CONFUSION, BUT DELIVER ME FROM ERROR. FOR YOURS IS THE REALM WITHIN ME AND THE POWER AND THE KNOWLEDGE FOREVER, AMEN. Time is just a constraint imposed on our universe to make one instant strongly dependent on a previous instant. That's why Jesus announced to the Pharisees that he was God by saying, "Before Abraham was, I AM!". The I am is the eternal present occupying past present and future. So you see God exists outside of time and is not bound by it's causality. There is no ordering of events, they all occur simultaneously. There are some staggering implications of this, but I'll let you figure it out yourself. With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible |

And here it is: User ID: 4473716 New Zealand 11/28/2012 10:21 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | All creatures short and squat, All things rude and nasty, The Lord God made the lot. Each little snake that poisons, Each little wasp that stings, He made their brutish venom. He made their horrid wings. All things sick and cancerous, All evil great and small, All things foul and dangerous, The Lord God made them all. Each nasty little hornet, Each beastly little squid-- Who made the spikey urchin? Who made the sharks? He did! All things scabbed and ulcerous, All pox both great and small, Putrid, foul and gangrenous, The Lord God made them all. Amen. |

Pretty sure that if most Christians thought about the logic of these two posts they would have a problem with it. Particularly that last sentence. I myself do not, essentially between these two posts you both have attributed divine attributes to everything in existence. |

If you're asking about the one who created this universe, he was contemplating his existence, surrounded by darkness, only to decide there is no other god except him "Fiery the Angels rose, & as they rose deep thunder roll'd Around their shores: indignant burning with the fires of Orc" - William Blake, America a Prophecy (...also misquoted in Blade Runner by Roy Batty) "Tempus est optimus iudex" - "Time is the best judge" "The very word "'secrecy'" is repugnant in a free and open society; and we are as a people inherently and historically opposed to secret societies, to secret oaths and to secret proceedings." - John F. SevenThunders User ID: 15851599 United States 11/30/2012 10:14 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Your use of the past tense shows that you haven't yet grasped what I'm saying. God has no creator, there is no cause or effect or first cause for God, since He exists outside of space and time and all times and events exist simultaneously to him. It's not that you can even say that before God there was...?, since the concept of before does not exist where God is. For all we know all of creation, past present and future, could exist in a single instant of some cosmic explosion that vanishes and is forgotten in the next instant. Causality and creation goes from the infinite and disordered to the ordered and finite. It's evolution in reverse and always has been. There is God, an infinite being and then there are increasingly lesser beings that he has created, angels, man and beast. In the end, no matter what cosmology you choose to believe, there will be mysteries and unanswered questions. For the state religion, atheism, there are a lot more puzzling questions such as, how does nothing create everything? How do we create complex design from chaos? Evolution fails miserably to address this. Creationism does a much better job. With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible |
